He is going to be very useful when teams like utd try to beat our press by hitting it long. He's a beast in the air and will have no problem dealing with those balls.

Tactically, he looks good and seems to be always in the right place at the right time which shows he has very good positioning sense. And those legs of his go on for ever . He wins so many interceptions and tackles (even those you don't expect him to win) due to his long legs. Him and Keita in midfield is going to be awesome to watch

Looks to me to not be explosive in terms of acceleration but quite quick when he gets those long legs going.

Think it was lampard who mentioned one reason he found it difficult playing against Yaya Toure was his deceptive pace due to his long stride.
