Klopp got it wrong throwing him so early imo and should have looked to Origi, it completely messed up the rest of the team, not the lads fault of course.

I think giving him 20 minutes at the end when we are winning to feel his way is required for the next few weeks

was a surprising sub at that stage.

Last night's game was frantic - getting chucked into that environment - well, he did well considering. Kept it safe, worked hard, understandably didn't try anything risky. Could have had a good strike on goal if Salah had played him in too.

Not sure what people were expecting but he did pretty well. Of course we want more but he's a youngish lad chucked into the deep end.

On the bench as an unused sub so I wonder if he’ll get minutes from the bench in the CL this week, as I’m sure the pace of the European matches would suit him better

From performances so far he's more likely to look bemused and find himself off the pace. I'd prefer him stored away to preserve his confidence

Think he's too lightweight for Athleti imo. They are probably the most physical side in football, add slimy, dirty, cheating to that too. He has looked nowhere near what it takes to be in the first 11, Klopp using him sparingly and rightly so. Klopp seems to ease alot of signings in, msybe it is a tactics thing? If you don't know the tactics inside out well then you are not ready for the first 11. Hopefully we see a far superior player next season.

Very early days. But it looks a huge jump up in quality for him to adjust to, he looks lightweight and a little lost. Covid has done him no favours, those months at home would usually be the time he'd be bonding and learning what klopp requires getting ready for next season. Hopefully he can get a few minutes to get some confidence. As it stands today him and Origi are nowhere good enough to provide any sort of real backup on more than a very temporary basis. Lose any of front 3 for more than a couple of games and our defence of the title will be tough.

A goal would lift him no end. Go on lad!

Think he needs to bulk up, he’s willing to get stuck in but he seems to lose out physically against the bigger players

I completely feel for him. Coming into the best team in the world mid-season with a set front 3 and lack of games to find your feet. The games he has played, haven’t been easy especially as most of the team aren’t regulars.

I completely agree with Bob that he needs a goal just to get him going.

He does look lost to me and in some of my darker moments I've been asking myself if he's in fact **** - haha. But we know he's not, he was class against us. Remember how lost Firmino looked early on, albeit out of position. I'm not sure what Taki's best position is tbh, but happy to give him plenty of time.

He'll be absolutely fine, he's relatively new to this country so it's difficult to adapt but we say this about all players that sign for us and look how some (most) have turned out.
