I never understood the hype. He is not fast enough to play as a fullback and constantly does unecessary stepovers or turns resulting in nothing but time wasting.

Not sure there was much "hype" for Neco. Apart from a couple of people on here, most could see he was nowhere near good enough. The biggest drop in quality from a first eleven player in the squad. It doesnt help that TAA is playing as a virtual winger. I am sure most seasoned fullbacks would struggle in the role, but at this stage Neco needs proper games to develop his all round game.

He is certainly no Nat Phillips.

They got rid of Hoever because someone wanted him and were prepared to pay - even better it was Wolves as it covered part of the Jota fee
