**** it, you're right. Thiago without a scan is defo out. Fabinho who is back in training is defo out. VVD did not play today so he must be out.

We have zero chance let's not bother flying over and just give Real a bye.

We definitely need a bit of a refresh in the middle of the park.

We desperately need reinforcing our midfield.

          Keita is a bit inconisistent.
          Hendo is fading
Milner is just a bitt too slow now
          Jones is not ready yet
          Ox is done
Elliott I feel is a forward

Fabino and Thiago are both top class, and I fesl we need one more player of that level who has an engine on them and can pick a pass. Keita is perfect to bring in as a 4th choice. Hendo can do a job Milner style. Then we just need a backup to Fab

Jones will hopefully be ready to step up in a couple of seasons.
Midfield is definately the area that needs strengthening, I posted earlier in the season about how many games various players miss through injury and fortunately for much of the season I was wrong and we have been able to put 3 of our strongest 4 (Fabinho, Thiago, Henderson and Keita) on the pitch for the most part. It's frustrating though that there are now doubts over 2 of them for our biggest game of the season. With all due respect to Milner and Jones who are most likely options to come in if needed they are a step down in quality, we need another top level option

It's a blow no doubt if he's missing vs Madrid but its still absolutely possible to win against that midfield with Hendo, Fab and Keita in my opinion.

Milner is also capable of stepping up.

Toni Kroos is no longer the player he was 2-3 seasons ago and is slow as ****, sure Casemiro is a good holding player but I think Modric is the one to worry most about.

The boys looked so leggy today against Wolves but if they bring the energy, they'll give Real problems in midfield because dynamism and intensity is not their strength in that part of the field.

For me Casemiro and Valverde as the two that give them solidity and energy in the middle. One of Kross or Modric providing the craft to go with the graft.

We start with the trio you mentioned in the middle and we can match any three they put out. Thiago would be a massive blow if out, but those we have left are hardly sub par players .

Plus our guys now have almost a week to get some energy back into tired legs.

Inject him with as much stem cell/calf blood/voodoo witch doctor **** as is needed to get him on the pitch next Saturday. He's crucial. I was almost more dejected seeing him walk off the pitch injured than when City scored. Felt like this injury had been coming TBH, he's been getting flogged a fair bit lately and we all know he's made of tissue paper.

Just give him the asthma. Supposedly we give it to all our players so they stay injury free. Taken over from the magic sponge.

Klopp saying in the post match interview that Thiagos issue was his lower leg and he was seen after full time with a strapped ankle - where did the hamstring info/rumour come from?

He was walking about with his lad on his shoulders after the game so there is a chance it’s not too serious.

Reports no doubt originating from Madrid/Marca - they will be keen to try and placate their fans after the Mbappe car crash.

Online **** talk on twitter/various forums right after the game.

Like I said yesterday, there was no point getting worked up over it until he had scans today and a clearer picture of what is or is not wrong is known.

Fingers crossed it is just a knock

Sky’s commentary reported it as a hamstring injury in the second half of the game yesterday.

I think it was sky commentators/pundits who said it looked like a hamstring problem.

Edit: Just seen Pepe79's post above
