My favourite thing about Jota is how much he love the needle. The dirtier the fight, the better he is

Think that's why he has a streak of Suarez in him. He's more Fowler to me, but definitely has elements of both about him. I ****ing love him.

I’ve said it before, maybe in this thread in fact, but I think the player he is most reminiscent of is Maxi Rodrigues. Optics to one side, the way they operate from the flanks but do all of their best work in the middle, right place-right time goal scoring, movement, finishing, technique etc. He’s our Maxi for the 2020’s.

Interesting take. Completely see where you're coming from.

He does have similarities with younger Maxi albeit with a bit more pace.

Think there are shades of Griezmann from five or six years ago in his play and also a little bit of David Villa when he was at Valencia. Especially in the way he attacks when he has the ball or looks for space between the full back and centre back. Has that nice range of of shots that Villa had along with being better in the air than he looks he should be, again similar to Villa.

What I really like is his ability to change pace to beat his man. He's not all about raw speed, he's much cleverer than that. He has such an intelligent way of sucking people in, or making them slow down before we just turns it on over 10 yards.

                  Incredible really.

Mane used to be so good at that too...slowing down and a change of pace to burn past people. Doesn't seem to do it much or at all these days.

Yep he is more about a quick burst of acceleration, the changing of direction and then another quick acceleration into a shooting position than raw pace over distance

He took the second goal so well, outstanding ability but I’m staggered that we actually got a VAR decision, I thought the rules were that any Liverpool player within the vicinity of one of the precision hand drawn offside lines was automatically offside.

What is it, Bad Moon Rising?

It’s decent when it gets to the chorus, but the build up is hard work
