I have a lot of affection for Darwin and would have loved him to succeed (just like I wanted him to break the net with Sunday's chance) but he is no longer offering even chaos and has simply not been worth a starting place for some time now, I know these things are circular - game time breeds confidence, confidence breeds better performances and better performances breed more game time - but at tge business end of the season there is no time for that.

Personally I'd like to see the last few games used to test out players like Morton, McConnell and Jaros - and maybe Nyoni and Elliott - so that more informed loan/sell decisions can be taken about them in the summer. I'd give no game time to players that are going to be sold like Darwin.

Have to agree with you there. Definitely want to see a bit of Chiesa also. If he’s not going to be involved in our future plans at least give him the 5th appearance for the winners medal. Maybe Danns takes his spot in the roster next season but I think he needs to be playing so another loan is probably best.

Darwin got his appearance because he made a significant contribution towards our league win. He at least deserves that.

Got us level against Southampton after going behind. Also won the penalty to put us ahead.

Put us ahead at home to Villa too, we didn’t score a 2nd until late on.

He had some huge contributions and is a deserving winner but as you said…. we expected more. Best for all sides if he goes now, I think he’d be perfectly suited to A Madrid and Simeone but they won’t pay what we need
