I have not said he is awful in general ffs, He was **** vs Leeds, most were but this is the Darwin Nunez thread so unfortunately people are going to talk about Darwin Nunez. He has looked all over the shop technically imo touch and passing. Do I think frustration and nerves have contributed to that ? Absolutely, but that's where we are and something he will have to improve on. He's playing for LFC, pressure is in and the stakes are high.

He's never going to be a classy, super slick type player and he doesn't have to be to be a successful striker. He is a raw, all action, balls to the wall type and that pace, drive and movement gets him into some great positions. Whether or not he suits us and our system/setup remains to be seen. It's hard to tell this season as we just so disjointed.

At the minute his lack of composure is the reason he hasn't scored more goals. He should have scored vs Leeds, he didn't, it happens. He is not the reason we are currently ****, nobody is insinuating that either... the whole team is a mess but he missed 2 sitters and it's ok to say that.

Its just a bit of criticism, chill out, we are all expecting big things from him but I understand you're just having one of your moments "again"

I thought he played well against Leeds. His link up play was miles better than at the start of the season, he made good runs and created chances for himself. He was unlucky and on another day could have scored a couple.

I think he was one of our few positives on the night for us personally.

I realise though that others have already made their minds up on him, and will take some changing.

He needs more composure in front of goal but he's certainly not the problem.

Nah i didn't think he played well. Opinion on a discussion forum shocker.

2 days later, i stand by my "shat himself" observation.

Yes we can blame midfield and defense but in reality we were ****in wasteful up top as well. We played **** but should have still scored at least 3 goals. And all this "goalie played unreal stuff" - alisson played better. Our shots weren't clinical enough and a lot of them were standard saves. Exact same as at forest. Yes we were **** in defense and midfield but we were ****in **** up top as well......

Have they though? Is it not simply pointing out some fairly obvious failings /flaws in his performances thus far? Just as many have pointed out his positives.

His runs, movement, pace, drive and aggression have been talked about in a positive manner. His passing, technique and composure in front of goal have been critiqued. I don't really see a big deal in anything that has been said.

Yeah it's no big deal (and certainly no surprise) but I think you've already stereotyped him. You've already labelled him and decided what he can and cannot do.

You specifically said "He's never going to be a classy, super slick type player". This shows you've already made your mind up about him.

It just seems you do that with players a little too often. Do you not agree?

It's not just you of course, you see similar on social media from plenty of supporters.

Well I disagree, he is only just settling in, in difficult circumstances. I think his overall play is improving game by game. I think deserves a little more belief than being pigeonholed a "raw, all action, balls to the wall type" like you've done.

So i've already made my mind up about him or that is my opinion (which I am allowed if that's ok) based on his performances at LFC and Benfica? Also opinions can evolve surely, that is allowed. Things can change with time but certain players play certain ways and have different attributes. We've scouted him, we know what he can and cannot do, we know what he excels at and what he doesn't. Haaland isn't a classy, super slick type player either, you do not have to be to be successful. It is ok to point out or have an opinion on certain aspects of a players game without being accused of writing him off, scapegoating him etc. He is all action, he is raw, he is nervous, he has lacked composure and he is just settling in. There is absolutely nothing wrong with pointing out these blatantly obvious things.

Can I ask what other players I have done this with?

Is that a serious question? is this another of your wooshes or do you really lack that much self awareness?

Hey maybe, could you explain it to me then? Because I do it so much or because you were being funny and I have some how missed it?

From the highlights it looked like he had a decent game.

He did ok in a dreadful team performance.

Fluffed a great pass from Trent in the 1st half. But also brought 2 good saves from the keeper and played Bobby in for 2 good chances.
