He is similar to Alisson in that it does not matter if he has a **** moment or a **** 30 minutes or whatever during a games. He has the mental strength to keep going and to want to keep going until something goes right.
Diaz is another in our squad that seems to have that in the locker.

I think Gakpo is the one designed to play in the middle and be the false 9 like Bobby did. Nunez might play there occasionally, but the intent I think is to have options and play different systems for different games.
One of them might not be happy, but if that can shut up some of you that we don’t have options, then that’ll do.
A goal or assist every other game pretty much. No way he's been an unqualified success but given how the team as a whole has struggled I think he's done well. He clearly has lots of potential to improve too.
The fee is another matter though, I don't think it was great negotiating really and we did overpay.

In a badly disjointed team that he is new to, and one in which is often used as a winger, his return and performances have been good enough to see him as one that would thrive in a more stable consistent team.
He is also a guy who fed on crosses and through balls at his old club, and those have been in short supply not to mention when he is being used as a left winger he is not going to be in a position to take advanatge of when we do play a nice ball or cross.
Did we overpay? Well if we sold him in the summer for less than we paid then the answer would be yes or if this season turned out to be as good as it gets, however I reckon it is far too early to say whether or not we overpaid as a better season next season would have us saying very different things about him.
Me I think he will come good in a big way and that he has been good enough this season all things considered. He is certainly not one of the problems the team has.
