Yeah I’m not writing him off ffs , I’m not doing a Dan but to keep the media pressure off of him I think he should be eased into the side. Unless of course he starts scoring a **** load between now & the start of the season.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

That sense of humour comment really triggered you didn't it

Regarding Nunez, it's just a matter of the team adapting to playing with a real number 9 and not someone who drops deep looking for the ball. Salah is used to little one twos, making runs in behind centrally whereas Nunez will be looking for a ball in behind and making those same runs. On the flip side Nunez has to adapt to how the lads play too and that might take a bit of time, he certainly won't figure that out in 60 mind of **** friendlies. The training ground will be where it's at and I have no doubts Klopp will be drilling him into how he wants him to play in our system.

He will and should start vs Fulham. This tried and trusted nonsense doesn't exist anymore. Mane is gone and Firmino has been off form for years. We've spent massive money on this guy for a reason, the more games he gets, the better understanding he will develop.

Diaz, Nunez, Salah with a bit work sounds amazing. Hopefully Nunez can hit the ground running so the media don't start piling the pressure on, Diaz also needs to work on his finishing too. If that front 3 clicks and I hope it does, they will be impossible to defend against.

Jurgen has a habit of protecting new signings from scrutiny until he thinks they are ready so time will tell if he thinks he’s ready for the Fulham match. Bobby might not be scoring many goals but he’s still integral to the way we play which is why I feel he will start. I also think Elliot might get the nod to start vs Fulham too.

Absolutely. There would be more questions asked if he was on the bench for the Fulham game.

Think the only big money signing he did that with really was Fabinho.

Alisson, Mane, Salah, VVD, Diaz and Keita all went into the first team pretty much straight away.

I reckon Nunez will be the same come August 6th.

The only scrutiny Nunez is under is from sad sacks on forums and social media who think an hour of pre season means something.

Come the winter break we will have a better idea of what Nunez in a Liverpool shirt is all about and even then he will still be very much in the early stages of his Liverpool career.

Was not aimed directly at anyone on here, but you look on social media and a few other "fan" sites and there were plenty of Liverpool "supporters" slagging Nunez off after the Manc game and again after the Palace game.

Most likely saggy arsed ****s who have never played a sport in their lives but are experts on a player after watching him for mere minutes.

Not read the pre season match threads here but don't think we have anyone here that would be writing Nunez off already.

No I’m certainly not writing him off either but the longer he goes without a goal the more the media will put pressure on him. He might be better off out of the spot light is what I’m thinking.

How can a professional footballer be taken out of the spotlight? He can certainly avoid social media for sure, and that would surely help.

It's pre season though. Who cares if he does not get goals in 30 minutes here and 30 minutes there.

Do we fret or even know how players do in each training session throughout a season or even give a toss? No so the pre season stuff carries the same weight of importance, or rather a lack of such for me.

What matters is them getting fit, match fit, and getting some sharpness and understanding built up.

Now if the time to fluff shots, misplace passes, be blowing out of their arses, and make mistakes. Screw being taken out of the "spotlight". What message would that send to the player if that happened?

Is no different to using sparring in boxing to find the kinks so you can iron them out and to establish patterns of movement.

What is even funnier about the comments about Nunez is that he did not play badly in either of his 30 or so minute run outs. He put himself about, he made a lot of runs that lost his marker and he looked to be in good physical condition.

He seems to drag left a lot when making runs, but he did the same against us in the CL and it gave our world class CBs a lot of problems. Plus if he drags left in competitive games it may force a CB to follow him and make room for Salah to nip into or he may go left and Diaz will cut into the space he left behind, Diaz and Nunez effectively swapping positions during some attacks.

The little I have seen of Nunez is quite exciting tbh. He reminds me more and more of a young Cavani albeit with a bit more pace and directness about him maybe.

Saggy arsed "supporters" can go comment on some other sport they never got off of their collective arses to play or even have a try at if all they want to do is knock a player before the player has even had a fair chance to show what he can or cannot do.

Ahh white text. It's 2002 all over again.

Nothing to do with greater knowledge either though. Just a case of showing some patience and waiting for a player to have a fair crack at showing what he can do when it matters.

I went to an euro women game yesterday and the atmosphere at the stadium was way more inclusive than on the men’s game. You won’t see a fan abusing a player there, it’s way more enjoyable than the **** toxic culture in men’s football.

                                Carry on drinking SB.
