So much crap going round about this - firstly, Mark Lawrenson sayig he spoke to Stevie G at an event on Sunday evening when he told him Keane would be off. Well, Lawro was at the BBC awards whilst Gerrard was not for personal reasons. WTF is going on there then? Was there an after party or something lol?

IMO the only reason we should have had a representative at the awards was because of Sir Bobby Charlton. Amazing guy who deserved an acknowledgement from our club for whom he undoubtedly has a lot of respect for.

Because the ceremony was in our city. It would have been a nice gesture and great PR as well IMO.

                Cheers.

Respect seems to be the buzz word this season - don't misunderstand it with fear though pal (ok to call you pal isn't it? ).

I was very emotional when Sir Bobby got his award. He is a very nice man by all accounts and an absolutely priceless ambassador for the game. Always felt that Kenny should have a similar role for us. He will eventually... I hope.

And it was very nice of Sir Bobby to thank the people of Liverpool as well.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
