Park football starts next Tuesday but we're playing Chelsea so i'll have to wait until the week after (if we're not playing)
I'm game though.....need to do summat i'm 31 and think my fitness levels are equivalent to a 50 year old!
Sign yourself up for a middle distance race and get a mate or two to do likewise, great motivation to get started. That's the hard bit, exercise is addictive so you're more or less set from there.
I'm not sure I'd brag about benching 50kg! Body building is geared towards building muscle, weight training towards gaining strength. Stick to free weights and working out on a punch bag is good for power and muscular development. I used to be obsessed with working out, but it's completely pointless. Keep yourself fit, eat well and don't overdo it. Circuit training and aerobics classes are much more beneficial than "heavy" weight training sessions. If you're measuring yourself by how many press-ups you can do then lose some weight and build up your shoulders and triceps on a punchbag and a chair.
I'm not braging about anything .. 50 KG is a lot heavier than it sounds when I say benching I meaning Circuit training 50 KG now to be able to do that yet little or no push ups is a bit of a joke in my books and for me showed me some vast differences in strength which i could address.
I work out to look good, stay healthy and generally keep my core strength good. I an doing the press ups because we do a lot of them in between sparing rounds and I look like a ****ing donkey
