Australia won't have knocked off the runs by 3pm surely...?
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Watching this via Sky Player at work. Today is not going to be productive

I tried that yesterday....it's a good couple of minutes behind. Not bad though.

Best quick in the world, what an incredible spell from Flintoff. Clarke's ****ting himself

Over 14 Flintoff 0-2lb-0-W-0-4: 367-8 WICKET! You can't leave that. Flintoff continues, and swings one back from a long way outside the off stump. It then seams in further and knocks back the stump. Reminiscent of Simon Jones dismissing Clarke at Old Trafford four years ago and Richie Benaud's perfect commentary over the replay: "Outside off stump there.... but not there." Four wickets for Flintoff - surely it's written in the stars for him to pick up just the third five-wicket haul of his career. Peter Siddle is the new batsman and he just about jabs his bat down on it and, in the end, middles it through square-leg for four. Flintoff congratulates Siddle on his strokeplay.

Over 18 Flintoff 0-0-1-0-1-0nb-W: 388-9 - Flintoff's continuing. Surely we should get rid of all those self-publicising freak shows currently making fools of themselves and get a statue of Fred on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square. It's what the people want. Well, me anyway. Siddle gets away from the strike with a single to long-leg, and Johnson gets a single to mid-off from the fifth ball. This, surely, is Flintoff's last chance for the five-wicket haul. And it's a no-ball. Of course it is. Have another last chance. WICKET! Great scripts this lad. Full, swinging, Siddle nowhere. The stumps are shattered and Lord's erupts. His first five-fer since a match you might remember at The Oval in 2005. Brilliant stuff from the big man in his final Lord's Test and, possibly, his last full stop.
