I think Bell would have been better off being given longer out of the side but it has worked for the Aussies to bring back people after they have failed to hold down a place in the test team initially. I think we tend to keep people in too long when not performing but in this instance I think Bell is a better choice than a rookie.

Wonder if he will bat at 3. CMJ seemed to feel that he was a better option there than Bopara and the latter hasn't really performed so far in the series.

Dunno, i'm of the opinion that if you're good enough, you're old enough...obviously the selectors feel that there is no one better than Bell (or Key) out there...maybe Ramps is up for a recall???

Maybe Tresco can be coaxed out of retirement...he's a good un still, and very electric to watch.
