I think Spud you are being harsh on him ... first off he is easily in the top 10 Middle weights in the World, and most people would have in comfortably in the top 5 ...

Think about that for one moment ... in his weight class .. put any man inside a cage with him and he will beat them ... thats ****ing elite

Just had a quick gander at Bispings Wiki

He's lost to Evans, Henderson, Silva and Sonnen and would no doubt get his head ripped off against Silva.

With the exception of Sonnen () i'd class all of those as elite fighters in the middleweight division.

So just to reaffirm my original point on Bisping. He's good, very good however he's not elite.

Hendo, he got cracked with Hendos overhead right ... it happens, Sonnen he won so does not count and there is no shame in Losing to Evans who I think he took to a decision .. split decision ...

Also he really has upped his game in the last year .. you are wrong

He'd probably had to have KO Sonnen to win that fight. No way would the UFC have let Silva / Sonnen 2 slip through their fingers.

Don't want to get into a discussion of the term "elite" and how it is applied to sportsmen but I'd compare Bisping to Ricky Hatton in that you know that they are both extremely good fighters but will both come up short when they meet genuine greatness.
The only three UFC fighters I'd apply the term to at the moment are GSP, Silva and Jones.
Jones would beat Silva who would beat GSP unless the fights were catchweight.
