He actually came across as a pretty cool fella. And I think Maron has too much integrity to be a whitewash for a dick.

CM Punk has always sort of held himself above others. No matter what the situation. But at a guess someone like Maron is someone he sees with a good enough rep to take it from.
I have seen interviews where he reacts really badly for much less. Mind you, most interviews are usually full of inane and badly researched questions.

He made some good appearances on Maron with Maron doing just that.Originally posted by Alex View PostAs it is now, all he seems to do is get ****ty when people bring up Wrestling. Something he did for nearly 18 years.
"You're not a real fighter. You can't do MMA. You've lost your mind"
To be fair he had to agree to do it so he doesn't take it as serious as he may come across.

There's a rumour that won't go away that If McGregor beats Dos Anjos he's gonna push for a fight with Lawler at 200.

I think he will. Maybe once or twice. But thats it really.
So far his MMA career has been nothing but a circus. He would have done better to fall off the radar and train before announcing. Then this pressure would have been totally off him.

If the Dos Anjos fight is over quickly with little or no serious damage then yeab he'll fight at UFC 200. If its a five round war then I don't think he'll fight at UFC 200.Originally posted by Gibbo View PostOf course.
Lawler vs GSP, knew I was missing something.
Rag dolled or not, McGregor makes that card I reckon.

You forgot that GSP will be headlining UFC 200.
Id be surprised if McGregor is fighting at 200 only because he's going to get ragdolled by Dos Anjos in a couple of weeks time

Right then. The announcements of a lot of these cards help to shape the kind of look that UFC 200 will have.
UFC 200 is scheduled for July the 9th. Which is 5th months tomorrow.
I pretty much expect two title fights on the card, I think it's pretty much a given, so leading up to that point you have.
March 5th - Mcgregor vs Dos Anjos & Holm vs Tate
Easily could have either of these on the 200 card, in fact I think win or lose Mcgregor makes it on, probably against Edgar. If Dos Anjos wins they could both make it on, especially with Khabib and Ferguson fighting in April.
I think the only way Holm vs Tate could make it onto 200 is if Holly loses a really close decision, and they rematch. I really don't think we will see Ronda.
Next up is UFC 197, which is April 3rd, Jones vs Cormier and Mighty Mouse vs Cejudo.
I reckon this is just in the range of being able to make 200, depending on the result, if Jones straight up dismantles Cormier I think he will fight Johnson at 200. I don't think that Mighty Mouse is a big enough draw.
Next up with have UFC 198 May 14th - no main event yet, but it is in Brazil which to me points to a Werdum vs Stipe title fight. Don't think either of these will make UFC 200.
and UFC 199 is Weidman vs Rockhold 2, no date yet set for some point in June. Think this is too close to 200 to stand a chance at either one getting a go.
The night before UFC 200 also see's Joanna Champion vs Claudia so that fight isn't on the card.
That means that in the lead up to UFC 200 you have probably 8 of the 10 champions being defending/challenging.
The ones left off are Bantamweight, and Welterweight.
Cruz's next fight, for me, will be Urijah Faber, a trilogy, a payday for Urijah and a rivalry that is already there. To me that has Fox card all over it.
Which leaves Robbie Lawler and the Welterweight belt. For me there are two fights out there for Lawler at the minute, a Condit rematch or a Woodley match. I think although Woodley deserves a shot Condit came really close and also would be more exciting fight, so I think Dana goes for that.
In conclusion; only a couple of these really matter, placement wise(
) but the biggest draw in the UFC at the minute is McGregor, and I reckon it will be the case even if he loses to Dos Anjos. So I think win or lose he makes it on. And with Robbie not scheduled yet I think he makes it on too.
Headliners for me will be;
Mcgregor vs Edgar
Lawler vs Condit
And if the UFC go balls out and do 3 title fights I think Jones vs Rumble Johnson makes it on too.
As for the rest of the fights who knows?
Got a sneaking feeling at Mendes vs Holloway though, as protection for the Mcgregor fight, if Edgar drops out one of those two could step in.
