Thought it was a suspect win IMO. Punch poirier went down with didn't even connect & i've never seen a ref so eager to stop a fight. The UFC know a money maker when they see one. Sure 10% of the tickets sold from Ireland.

He has so many bandwagoners behind him that have never watched the sport before. Fair play to the guy for making a few quid though.

Hahahaha I'm not his biggest fan but that is very harsh, he obviously did catch him and what's the ref to do? Let him keep punching a unconscious man on the canvas? However, there is an argument that the second blows were to the back of the head, after he went down, which is not aloud. But I have seen a lot worse.

I've only just seen it myself and I've watched it a few times and I still don't see where he connects. Poirier looks like hes going down before he even gets hit.

I thought same, hard to see what really connected, think poirier looked beat,as if he thought he was about to be pummelled n just kinda gave up..still yet to see mc Gregory in a long fight with someone willing to go at him...but he's impressive,feels like lot of fighters scared of him already... hope next one goes on longer n get to see more of what mc gregors got

Still can't see the contact on the punch, lot of people saying it aswell. Now if he goes and does that to any of Edgar,Swanson,Mendes & Aldo i'll be impressed.

I imagine the next stop for McGregor will be the winner of Edgar and Swanson, the winner of which will take on the Mendes Aldo victor, which in itself is a really interesting fight.

Special mention for Cruz by the way, he looked absolutely brilliant coming back and I think he would make short work of Dillashaw.
