I think Joe Rogan said it best Nicey, you could've guessed who was gonna win that fight, but that's all it was a guess. Same with Rockhold Weidman

I've been on the McGregor hype train since the Brimage fight, but Chad dominated him for one and a half round on let's face it no camp, that left is a bomb and who know if he would've to Also with it eventually, he would have if Aldo kept winging punches like that. McGregor RDA at 155 would be interesting as well. RDA shut Pettis down.

Jeez man, been watching some of the early stuff, they actually allowed butting at one point, and hair pulling, think it may even have been bare knuckle too.

Watched one with a big fella with Star spangled shorts, looked more a body builder than mma fighter, but i guess that's the point of it, different talents skills and strengths pitted against each other.

The early stuff was incredible, no weight divisions and it was a knockout competition, all the way to the final on ONE day! There weren't even judges, you basically had to win by submission, knockout or with your corner throwing in the towel. Bloody brilliant, the stuff of movies. 8 men fighting their way to the final in a knockout competition.

I see you're now getting in to it, I'd highly recommend a documentary called The Smashing Machine, about a figher called Mark Kerr back in the day when it was really brutal. Its absolutely fascinating.

Weidmann should have been stopped in the 3rd. I know herb was giving him a chance but he was just getting utterly smashed with no defence. It was pretty bloody disgusting. Real harm could well have happened.

Yeah as i've said i'm not keen on seeing a fight end that way, depends so much on one of them getting to sit on the other, and although i know there's a skill to getting into that dominant position, i just think it's something that could be removed from the sport without really having a detrimental effect, in fact it would probably improve some fights, as i say, maybe a time limit on how long you can sit on top, if you havent got a submission or a ko, then the ref should let the man up and you go again, i think it was the fact he was sat so high up on his chest that it pushed his arms up and made them useless, a good tactic i suppose, but just not how i like to see fights go.

But that's just me.

Dos Anjos vs Cerrone is an earlier one tonight.

They're experimenting with Goldberg Rogan and Cruz all at one commentating and it has been brilliant so far, Rogan and Cruz knowledge is working together brilliantly while Mike counts the ring girls for us.

Didn't see anything in that fight that would trouble McGregor. McGregors biggest threat now is himself, as long as he doesn't become over confident and doesn't slack off his training he can dominate both 145 and 155.
