Poor technique from Aldo, chin left out waiting to be tagged. Cracking punch from Connor though

How Conor called it though, he said Aldo would try to overload on the big punches, and that would leave him open to 'Timing and precision', he wasn't wrong either, probably expexcted to wait a tad longer for the killer punch though. Aldo looked stiffand worried to me, Conor looked lithe and happy at the off.

Amazing to think what he's done, as an interviewer said to him after the fight, first time he spoke to Conor was in 2013, he turned up with no car and no pot to piss in, now. Fair play.

Side stepping someones punch and clocking them clean with a counter punch is MMA 101 ... McGregors movement and his Power are off the chain in that division ... 155 will be interesting not as clear cut

While that may be true of this fight, he's done it all before, he's had those longer fights and will do again, tonight was just a plan carried out to perfection, he predicted it before hand because he knows these fighters can't just totally change their style, they use what works for them, and imo they are limited in comparison to the things Conor can bring to a fight, especially mentally, part of what has made these guys good fighters is turned against them by McGregor. imo.

So much of it seems to be mental, when Conor is there just before a fight begins, his face is one of happy expectation, he looks and acts like he's about to be served up his favourite meal while at his most hungry, not that he's about to get punched kicked and squeezed.

He's able to free his mind in a way no others seem able, add that to his fighting talent, and that's why he's doing what he's doing in the way he's doing it i reckon, partly anyway.

Just watching this vid, shows a bit more of the past, Aldo was far more outgoing and cocky when younger tbf.

Really think Conor got inside his head, he definitely got inside his missus head, she has him down as the crazy man, and probably spent the last year telling her husband that.

Yeah I definitely think McGregor got into his head along time ago. Aldo always seemed a quiet type, which I prefer to be honest but McGregor certainly does know how to sell a fight and make money.

Thats what fighting is .... spot weakness .. exploit it .. does not matter if its 25 seconds or 25 minutes .. the idea is to ultimately switch your opponent off .. he did that in spectacular fashion ...

Frankie Edgar would pose Conor some problems but he is getting on .. Other than Lomas I cannot see any problem fights for Conor at 145
