    that's ****ing mental, laughing at those accidents, especially as the majority of them were because of poor security measures from the organizers, who in their hunt to be bigger, faster and stronger have completely forgot about the safety of the people competing.

    ffs they didn't allow any training on the slope for the downhill and the superG and they made the course really dangerous at the same time, which is pure madness.

    anyhow, i'm hoping for a hockey final between finland and slovakia now that the russians and the sweeds are out. the hockey at the olympics is ****ing awsome, shame it's at such late hours

      watched a bit more over the weekend - firstly the final of snowboard downhill thingy - they were having technical problems with the starter gates, and one fella just lunched himself at the start, the gate didn't open and he just splattered out, the other just cruised to gold hahaha.

      the mens ice hockey final last night was brilliant -usa vs canada. very exciting to watch

        Haven't watched too many games but i thought it was cracking, some huge hits towards the end! Pleased the Canadians won it, think they would of been happy if it was their only gold!

        Is Amy Williams hot, i think i'm a fan but unsure?

            I don't get the appeal of Ice Hockey, half the time i couldn't even see the puck, i was completely bored to tears watching it. Another stupid American sport with breaks in play every minute.
            We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

              Although it was started in Montreal, Canada.

                  I can follow the action perfectly well. Its just fast....your eyes probably aren't used to it, and because you have know idea about the sport, you don't know where the puck will be going

                  There aren't exactly breaks in play either. They are called faceoffs and happen when the puck goes out of play, there has been a penalty, goal or the goalie holds onto the puck. Its certainly not like NFL, basketball or baseball in terms of breaks in play.

                    It's actually not. They've copied ideas from similar sports which existed before, from the Irish and the Scots.

                          I can't think of any other sports that have such a mix of grace and skill and then at the total other end of the scale you have the goons who are total thugs trying to crush the skilful players.
