I cant stand Alonso he is the biggest cunt in the history of F1. I hope he and Ferrari get disqualified due to their shameful actions today. Got to agree that Vettel is very very lucky that Ferrari have taken his error out of the spotlight.

What happened? Was this a David Coulthard 'slowing down for fun' move?

ferrari run F1, i doubt we will see a sanction or anything to affect them. There pretty much the manchester united or real madrid of F1. you gotta feel for massa. Especially when half way thru the race his own race director said, keep going and your got this race in the bag.

Massa was leading from Alonso and on lap 49 Massa got a message over the team radio which said "Alonso is quicker than you Philip Radio back to let us know you understand the message" So Massa then slows down and alonso passes him to take the lead. Now under FIA rules which were brought in in 2002 it is against the rules for team bosses to interfere with the race result (in other words NO TEAM ORDERS DURING THE RACE).

Now when that message come through everyone knew what was going to happen. It was wink wink as they couldn't tell Massa directly to let him pass.

See the thing is Alonso was getting annoyed that massa was in front of him and you could hear it in the radio calls he was having with his crew during the face.

I cant stand the prick He got booted out of Mclaren as he thought he had the right to be number 1.

It wasn't exactly subtle either. Cunts.

Rob Smedley is going to take a bollocking for making the team orders broadcast hugely obvious. He tried to cover it in a post race interview, but the damage was already done.

Re Vettel - natural heir to Schumacher or what? Petulant, arrogant and gets away with some dangerous moves. That move at the start was disgraceful.

That just came out as I typed that last post. I wonder if that had been any team other than Ferrari how that would have gone.

Nar mate no where near Schumacher's class as Schumacher could drive and win races of a regular basis. I dont rate Vettel at all. Webber is by far the better driver.

I was meaning characteristically rather than talent wise. I absolutely agree with you, Vettel is only ever really happy when everything is going 100% his way, he's brilliant when leading a race but can't cope when any pressure is applied. Not seen him win a race in adversity, battling through the field, and is chucking away points with poor decisions on the race track. At the moment, Webber is ahead of him with a long career behind him, he's at his peak, he's not going to get any better. Vettel could if he learns from his mistakes. He's miles behind Hamilton and Alonso, and I don't rate him as highly as Button or Rosberg.

Vettel is way WAY a better driver than Webber, he has just had **** luck and can be inconsistant at times.

Vettel is getting poles and winning races regularly at the age of 22, webber won his first ever race last year!!

On his day he is as good as any driver out there- Him, Hamilton and Alonso are by far the best drivers in the sport.

Rosberg, Button, Kubica, Vettel, Webber, Massa all part of the second tier - with Rosberg, Button, Kubica and Webber ahead of him. He's ahead of Massa - just. Potentially the best out of that group though.

Ferrari continued to insist the incident was "a driver decision" and no instructions were given to Massa.
Team communications director Luca Colajanni said: "We didn't give any instruction at all. I don't think anything wrong has been done, or regulation breached."

People are dismissing button too easily. One of the smoothest drivers on the grid. Great tire management and good in the wet. Vettel still has an awful lot to prove. There's more to the sport than out and out pace.

He's made a brilliant fist of defending his title so far. Good wins, consistent, pushing his car up the grid. Top respect for the Frome Flier! Supposed to be hamilton's team isn't it??
