      Contador attacks late and gets himself ten seconds back on Schleck.

      Exciting stuff.

        Also, smart play from Hushovd to get back the green jersey. Got himself into the breakaway to claim some sprint points!

              I'm not too excited about that tbh. For someone who worked so hard yesterday, he did well to finish so strongly today.

                Another cracking day of racing. Riblon did fantastically well to win the stage.

                Contador just couldn't get away from Schleck, every attack he made was tracked brilliantly by Schleck. They were playing silly buggers at one stage on the second climb.

                The race for third also seems to be heating up, Menchov broke away from Sanchez, but Sanchez made his way back to the wheel of Menchov. Exciting stuff.

                Still three more days in the Pyrenees!

                  It's a really exciting Tour.

                  I think Contador was feinting the attacks. Of course if Schleck had been weak then he would have persisted but more than anything I think his tactic today was to threaten Schleck so the yellow jersey would be wary of attacking in his own right. There was no real reason to put the Astana team on the front so far out - I know people say Saxo Bank is the stronger team but that's not what we saw in the Alps (and again it wasn't today so there wasn't a great need to start the process of isolating Schleck over 70km from the finish.

                  I think Contador is playing a game which is primarily about putting off Schleck attacking him in the Pyrenees and then taking all the time he needs in the TT.

                  I think Menchov and Sanchez will probably lose time to Bertie and Toothy in at least two of the next three stages.
