Not really, the Seahawks defence was just incredible. I gave up in the third when it was clearly all over, so can't say for the rest of the game. But the defence were just all over the place.

It's very strange they let him go. Would love to see him at the Bears. As well as being a class Receiver they could use him as a replacement for Hester on returns.Originally posted by spud_gun View PostThe Eagles have just released DeSean Jackson.
In terms of talent that's akin to us letting Sturridge go.
Apparently a myriad of reasons as to why they let him. Be interesting to see where the ends up.

As this is the first time I've paid any real attention to NFL, College football and the draft in the same year, I'm really looking forward to seeing how these new rookies get on with the big boys. Will Clowney be so explosive, will Manziel be a starter, or will they both get an education in how tough it is in the NFL?
Marquis Lee could be a real star, he was dynamite last year.

He dropped like a stone in the draft as a result.

Only in American sports could that be the seventh or eighth most ridiculous name in the draft.Originally posted by Alex View PostI think I'm most interested to see how Ha Ha Clinton-Dix gets on for Green Bay
Seriously though, he's an immediate upgrade for an ineffectual secondary and will probably start day one. They must have been surprised as hell that he was still there when it came time to pick. I like him playing strong, close to scrimmage (he was never a ball hawk exactly at Tuscaloosa, but made **** loads of tackles), but the Packers tailor their secondary to the offense, so he might play free initially as he reads the play well.

When he fell outside the top 15 I think he had his heart set on going to Philly at 22.Originally posted by Hollowman View PostOnly in American sports could that be the seventh or eighth most ridiculous name in the draft.

Did you see his reaction when Green Bay chose him 'awww ****, i wanted to go to Philly'
But yeah, he's an immediate upgrade for the Green Bay secondary (ditto if he'd gone to Philly)

He must have known the Eagles weren't going to take a safety with a first round pick though. They wrote a large cheque for Jenkins and brought Maragos in too, plus they signed Nate Allen up for another year. They were always going to look further down the draft to fill the secondary (and got pretty good value with Ed Reynolds in the fifth).

Fairly sure they'd take Clinton-Dix over Allen
Allen has flattered to deceive since Philly wasted a second round pick on him. Testament is the one year contract and not a multi-year extension.
Despite a plethora of free agent signings in recent years the Philly secondary is still in need of some work. Patrick Chung?!
