Still could go either way. But if the Aussies can build a big lead. We'd have to see out possiblely 2 days of batting with a possible difficult 5th day, if the pitch turns...........................Or we bowl the fecks out soon and pile on the runs and they squirm like bitches as swanny turns the ball inside out on the 5th day. How wonderful.
Me too what a ****ing disaster this is 219 behind with the Aussies to bat again. Hussey should have went first thing ****ing england wasting their referrals

About the size of it. We thought today would be the big day, turns out it was decided yesterday when Strauss wasted the referrals. Shocking stuff.
Glad I was out with the kids today, the occasional 10 minute catch up on the radio was about all I could handle.
Our only hope now is to bat out 2 days for a drawer so feel a bit sorry for the fans who bought tickets, it will be woeful.
It might be me but i can see where we are missing Flintoff. He was the big character in the team and very imposing and there is no one in the team like that at present.
Can't believe Strauss wasted the referrals though. He should have waited until we got the new ball, which would have been last night. He panicked when we only got 260 all out and the Aussies were batting. IMO is was a cert that they were going to get past our 260 at the gabba so it should have been a case of damage limitation rather than panicking.
Our only hope now is the draw but i cant see us staying in for another two days with the way the wicket is.
Well, hopefully we can muster a draw from this somehow, although that would be a miracle.
However, all is not lost... don't we only need to draw this series to retain the ashes, so there's still plenty to play for after this, bummer to lose the first though.

Correct. In the event of a draw it remains with the current holders.

I was thinking something similar a couple of days ago. There is no one really to help out the Captain.
In 2005 Warne was always giving Ponting ideas, directions when he was down on the dumps. Warne gave them a different way of thinking. We have no back up. KP maybe.
