I'm warming to him. His gigantic, horsey smile makes me laugh.

He's very enthusiastic, I like that.

Well I'd certainly opt for Jalapeno flavour ('Real Crisps' or Kettle) but all stores near me appear to have stopped selling them. All my regular shops always stop selling the stuff I like. So it'll probably be Seabrooks Salt & Vinegar.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yes, enthusiasm can be infectious, but then so is herpes.

I don't mean to be rude but I preferred the old Shaggy when the happy/irritated balance was more even. I expect it'll come back as the nights draw in and LFC finds itself hopelessly astern of the Manchester clubs.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

EDIT: That probably comes across as aggressive but I'm not having a go. I just don't know what you mean.
Because I like him, I think he is a good guy, a decent guy - who doesn't court the media. He defies every attribute that normally goes with british sportsman (esp-Scottish) and plays with a confidence that is not weighed down by expectation of attitude and performance of where he is from. Watching him play he really is an exceptional athlete and amazingly skillful tennis player.

If he loses as with his previous losses it is because he hasn't been good enough on the day - not because he is unlucky, british or a bottler. I think these tags are grossly unfair and as such his achievements are not recognised. Win tonight and I think Andy Murray will have total vindication.

The other good thing about Murray is I don't think he cares too much what the media and public think, he wants to win because he is competitive and believes in himself. I doubt this stuff rankles with him as much as it does with me

So I really hope he does it tonight.

I see where you are coming from, you don't deserve in sport you acheive, so I guess I hope he wins and I want him to win

I'll be staying up for it - er, if I can stay awake.

Greg Rusedski is irritating but it's as impossible to fault his tigger-like enthusiasm as it is not to remark on his oft-mentioned resemblance to a horse.

I like watching him because one day he's going to try to say everything in the world in one breath and he'll forget to breathe. I want to watch him faint.

I really want Murray to win, as you might expect, but I'm not at all confident.

I thought Ferrer would make more of a game of it last night but Novak was typically and brilliantly efficient and made sure he didn't get mired in a four and a half hour slogfest. He knew what was necessary and executed - sign of a champion.

No-one has been beaten in fiive major finals before and if Murray's beaten he'll cart that additional monkey on his shoulders. I hope it likes chips.

It could be a monster game and I'm getting a buzz already

Yep, that's pretty much what I think. I mean, it'll be nice for him if he wins it but I can't say I'm bothered about it either way. And he has a lot of consolations if he doesn't win a grand slam tournament. The money, the girlfriend... Not that I begrudge him that. He is one of the very best in the world after all.

Maybe he deserves it as his mother seems to me like a bit of a nightmare but they're very close and maybe her public image is unfair.

Anyway I can't say I like him but I don't dislike him either.

If he wins he will be the first BRIT to win a slam for yonks....lose and the Scot fails again.

Joking aside, have to say I changed my perception of him after his Wimbledon emotions. He has had a tough, in terms of tennis demands, life and it would be nice to see him win a slam and make all that effort worth it.

It's demanding I'm sure but, quite apart from the fact that literally billions of people have very demanding lives in much tougher circumstances, has he really had it any tougher than any other professional tennis player?

I had about 3 hours sleep last night. I'll be lucky if I'm still up when it starts, let alone when it finishes

What I mean is he has had his mother pushing him since a very young age, then once he becomes a pro he has all the pressure of the UK media as well. The guy is in the spotlight all the time and often portrayed as a failure because he has yet to win a Slam, but infact he has had a very successful career.

Hmm, my heart still isn't bleeding.

As you say, he's had a very successful career. It doesn't really matter what people say. And I'm sure most will be a lot more generous to him when he retires, even if he never wins another tournament, starting tonight.

I suppose it boils down to this: I don't give a toss if he wins or loses.

                        Me too TBH.

But, unlike many I suppose, I will not view him as a failure if he loses.

Nadal is still the best or 2nd best player on the planet though.

I've completely forgotten about Murray's mom. My subconscious must have blocked her out as it noticed the inner conflict she posed in regards to rooting for Murray.
