it would like blasting off sprinting in a 800m, you couldnt keep up with that pace and fade away so he goes steady until the end then sprints, didnt work today even if he went he wouldnt have won as he'd be knackered

Imagine sitting through that entire thing only for Cavendish to do nothing! Six hours! Wildly anti-climactic. Bewildering sport.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

But yet the guy who won was in that lead group and he won.

I know nothing at all about cycling.

                  How did Neil Young do?

He didn't though. He still has to follow the pace you know. Haha

The guys who broke away 30kms or before the end caught GB by surprise. They should have nipped it in the bud. The gap grew bigger and they didn't have the legs to catch them.
                    Are we winning?

Normally the peloton allow a breakaway but then catch them. In this race the lead group kept pace and the peloton didn't chase hard enough.

I was a county standard 800m runner and I shattered the school record (still stands ) - and my tactics were to blast off and go about 200m clear. I was unbeaten throughout school using the same tactics every time

I went faster than the others - someone should tell Cavendish

Is it true that the guy who won is a former drugs cheat?

GB worked very hard. It was attacking left right and centre for 3/4 of the race though, which makes it very hard to control the race, especially if your team is small (4 riders).

In the Tour de France or other races, teams are bigger.

The cycling coverage - pictures, time information and especially commentary was really poor.
