    England v Pakistan

Well they scraped over the line, but it was all a bit unconvincing.

Glad they have another warm up match - Pietersen and Morgan need some runs.

Given Pakistan's recent results this is going to be a very interesting series!

    But aren't they playing cricket?
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

              Hats off to 'Chazza'!

BBC Cricket website confirms Bresnan out for ENTIRE tour at 13.27, and Cricinfo not reported it at all yet!

I'm obviously looking in all the wrong places

Bit like LFC at the moment! Maybe I should think of a career move....

What are the odds of the first ball being bowled by Pakistan being a no ball?
"Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

I don't think anyone will be placing bets on that outcome

                            Another good win

Pietersen, Morgan and Bell still not producing any runs is a worry. But good to see that Cook, Strauss and Trott have put some runs on the board.

Second string seamers (Onions and Tremlett) both did well

But Panesar's 8 wickets in 43 overs versus Swann's 2 wickets in 37 overs is presenting the selectors with an interesting dilemma..... Particularly since Swann has been off the pace (certainly by the high standards that he set) for the last 12 months at least.

Swan will get the nod because he can bat, Flower loves a long tail and pretty much all of the bowlers can bat a bit

Great figures from Monty though I hope he can put some pressure on Swan nobody has come close to him for the past 3-4 years
