I know it's been done loads at the end of races that's my point, it doesnt get punished but the rules as I understand the require you to get back to the pits on your own steam and provide a sample just some consistency regardless of the team is what is needed. F1 may have made a rod for their own back with this ruling going forwards

Exactly. Voiding the time would have been the right way to go, or voiding the session, demoting him to 10th at worst. ****ing ludicrous.

This is why i'm not into F1 as much as i use to be. As soon as something exciting happens or a driver needs to be looked at the stewards wade in with their size 10's and wreak the race by going to the extreme. Yet another weekend ruined by the stewards.

A grid penalty and a fine for the team would have been more than enough, almost expect Lewis to crash out now

Mclaren do need to sort their support crew out though as too often they let down Hamilton and button with daft mistakes

Saw Johnny herbert on yesterday trying to justify the stewards decision against lewis as he is one of them. **** me if they have him as a steward the sport is doomed. That guy couldn't win a race against a stannah lift.

it's such a a shame they're just down the road from me and obviously I am keen on them winning as often as possible but the mistakes they've made with both drivers are justg dreadful and make it so much harder to get into the top points.

Its process and race decisions that are the problem, isn't it though...

The car looks good, the drivers are excellent - if they didn't have those two to extricate the tactical team out of the holes they dig, they'd be completely ****ed.
