a dire prizefighter shown midweek and he was on about 11pm

i think only about 7 people in the UK was still watching the program at that time

for example - come saturday - i know for a fact my local will be packed for people watching the boxing because it's billed as a 'big night'. I'd say 95% of those who will be there won't have watched the prizefighter the other night

Guess it depends on the PPV buy rate.

What do you reckon it'll do? 150,000? 300,000?

At a wild guess Prizefighter would have had around 150,000 viewers at the absolute Max on Thursday.

Joshua doesnt need exposure. He needs fights to get himself tuned up. He is so green, so if he won with a bad display on the Froch card then it would have done him more harm than good I think.

That being said the Froch v Grooves card is ****ing awful. Look at something like UFC and they managed to get together 4 interesting fights on the same card. I have long thought now that Boxing could do with its own version of the UFC. One man making all the fights, a round robin ranking system, one belt per division and more promotion. Boxing seems to think promotion is fine if its a shoving match at a press conference on Sky Sports News. Its not. Im not going to pay to watch Froch v Groves. Ill just pick it up at a later date.

But I would have paid to see GSP, Jones, Hendricks or Silva headline a PPV, which they all seem to do throughout the year.

Money has been the making of the UFC and its been the things thats Killed boxing.

I might be in a minority but I actually like Groves. Nothing much seems to be going for him pre-fight. I don't think he's particularly talking any ott **** about Froch. Certainly no more than Froch used to do about Calzaghe when Froch had only fought some mediocre opponents.

Unfortunately I think it's just to sell the fight, all this so-called bad blood. Froch is probably too good for Groves at the moment and will more than likely knock him out

Just been reading up on this. Apparently the guy who kicked him used to help Manny with his stretching. Roach told Manny 'don't you know how to stretch. This guy just takes loads of money off you for nothing'. So Manny got rid of him.

There is quite a bit of ill feeling between him, Roach and Rios' trainer.
