Paul Smith some how gets another shot at Arthur Abraham. After being beaten fairly convincingly in their last outing Smith has somehow gotten Eddie Hearn to spend his daddies money on a rematch. Oh and don't listen to a ****ing word those cretins Halling and Watt say on Sky. The first fight wasn't close. Only reason this rematch is taking place is because Abraham and his people know it's easy money.
David Price is fighting on the Smith undercard. Be interesting to see how the big fella looks.
in proper boxing we've got GGG fighting against Martin Murray for the WBA & IBO middleweight titles. Always good to see a master craftsman at work and GGG is one of the best in the business. I like Murray but don't think he's got anything that'll allow him to beat GGG. This fight is on Channel 5 tonight

I understand what you're saying. To play devils advocate with some of the people you mentioned.
Alvarez. Agree. I thought the fight was too early for Alvarez. Another year or two was needed for him to develop. However it was put to me on another forum that Alvarez would struggle to make 154 in a year or so's time and Floyd want's no part of anyone at 160 or above.
Hatton was undefeated when he faced Mayweather. Some misguided fools (Hatton included) were suggesting that if Hatton beat Mayweather he was P4P the best fighter on the planet.
Mosley. Agreed. Should have found a way to fight years before.
De La Hoya. The fight that saved boxing.
Floyd won on a split decision. Was a competitive fight.
Mayweather had spent the previous years bouncing around lightweight, lightwelter and welter before moving up to light middle to fight De La Hoya. De La Hoya hadn't fought at Welter of below for 6 years and was campaigning at light middle and middleweight during that time.
So while it's easy to say that De La Hoya and Mayweather should have fought earlier you've got to take into account the weights they were fighting at during the time.
As for being a scumbag out of the ring. No doubt he's an absolute prick of a human being.Comment

Guess that depends on what defines a superfight for you.
In terms on money and hype yes it is one, but in terms of the bout itself not so much.
A true superfight for me is when two genuine world class talents meet with both at or close to their peak.
Shaggy hit the nail on the head for me with his comment about how such a fight should be impossible to call or at the very least be difficult top do so.
Mayweather jnr vs Pac is not such a fight. If both turn up and are in the best form that their bodies and minds can produce at this stage of their careers then Mayweather jnr wins nine times out of ten for me.
It may still turn out to be a very good bout, and both boxers are still top level performers, but is a step below being a true superfight for me. Would rate it to being closer to a Hagler- Leonard ( which is a tad ironic given the tagline for that clash
) level clash than a Hagler - Hearns or a Hagler - Duran.
Right now I think there is only one potential superfight out there is one judges it only on the boxers, their ability, how close to world class they are, and how close to their peaks they are.
Golovkin vs Ward would be that fight for me even if it was at a catch weight..I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Would be surprised if Pac got a clear cut rematch clause. Mayweather jnr yes, but doubt if Pac has anything other than a term based (and very specific at that) rematch clause if he has one at all.
As for Khan, well it suits him to stay in the long grass a bit longer and wait for Mayweather jnr because even a slightly over the hill Mayweather jnr, as he is now, should be far too good for Khan. Pac is a different story.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

No it wasn't. Abraham won the fight handily. Perhaps not as wide as some scorecards suggested but Smith though game didn't.do anything to warrant a rematch.
Halling and Watt were an utter disgrace during that fight. The way they reacted to the scorecards you'd have thought they'd just witness Roy Jones at the Soul Olympics.Comment
