Yeah I love him.....whatever the sport I always think the standout talent that makes he sport/becomes bigger than it if that makes sense are fascinating to watch, whether they are arrogant or humble etc...certain people just transcend some sports....tiger woods for golf, Michael Jordan for basketball etc

I'm not a huge UFC fan, but even the most ardent UFC fan would agree that he's played a big part in growing/popularising the sport, they might not like him some might not rate him or hate the fact he's brought loads of armchair interest in mms but u have to at least accept and respect what he's done ..he's ****ing hilarious to watch but what's more he backs it up with talent/ability/achievements

I recognise that realistically he stands no chance against mayweather in a proper boxing bout, likewise if this was mma mcgregor would ****ing leather him.

So I think u have to give mcgregor credit to going into the boxing ring and building the hype up for the fight....fair ****s to him he's elavated himself from wealthy to superstar rich by doing it....take the ****ing money! And you have to remember, whether he has a chance or not in boxing, he's still a hard ****ing cunt who fights for a living....it's not like cristiano Ronald has decided to step in the ring

Personally I'd ****inf love it if he sparked mayweather out but personally I think behind the scenes it's probably all sorted....make the fight, hype it the **** up, make millions, and put on a bit of a show...they are both hard ****ers and both talented enough to put on a "show".....I suspect it will end up as a mayweather points win but mcgregor coming away with a bit of "unlucky/great effort/on an other day" type thing so it potentially warrants a rematch to cash in again

I reckon they virtually have it played out. But we shall see

I know a few people/the purists for both sports think it's a bit of mess/don't agree with it but for me I'm going to enjoy the build up and laugh my head off at the whole thing and just go along for the ride

What the **** is wrong with boxing as a sport. They keep going for freak shows like this rather than the simple act of letting the best fighters fight each other to see who's really the best...

Now you get some MMA **** who hasn't boxed since the amateurs looking to take on one of the best fighters of all time, and people are trying to talk up his chances. Don't. He's going to get ****ing annihilated. He has about the same chance as any of us on this forum would. He needs a miracle punch from nowhere.

Anyone who actually pays money to watch this fight should be sectioned.

Yeah to be fair I do agree with what u say, boxing is a mess...the fights that should happen don't, promoters/federations or whatever protect their "investments" belts change hand for random reasons etc and I do agree this is a ****ing joke of an event but it is what it is, I'll just watch it for what it is and enjoy it

Personally tho I don't think/see anyone really talking up mcgregor chances...most comments I see from fans or pundits don't give him a chance...he's not just some mma **** tho, he's ****ing dominated it, he's stepped up/out of his comfort zones/weight/and took on anyone put in front of him...whatever people think of him he's clearly ****ing good at what he does and whilst he may stand little chance in a boxing match against mayweather I reckon he's got more chance than if it was the other way round, if it was an mma fight mayweather wouldn't last a minute imo

But all this is irrelevant imo because I just reckon it's already agreed how it will play out...mayweather won't be annihilating him as much as he could/should/boxing fans want him too...the "fight" will be dragged out to make it look like a contest

And usually I don't like the arrogant cocky type ****ers in any sport but for me I love listening/watching mcgregor....he's ****ing so sharp and hilarious at what he does....in fact...that line where mayweather says I may be 40 but I have a body of a 20 yr old, and mcgregor almost like a comedian, trying not laugh, as quick as anything pipes up with yeah but u act like a 10 yr old hahaha there's no come back to him, he's too quick/funny.....some of his UFC press events are hilarious

I totally get why he pisses of some people but for me it's funny as **** and he does back it up with talent/ability......plus he's arrogant in an engaging way with the fans if that makes sense...like a stand up comedian so to speak he picks up on the crowds vibe and plays to it

Yeah the Brook and Khan fights were jokes and the Mayweather / McGregor thing is sub WWE bull****. That being said there's been some cracking fights this year. We've seen Ward / Kovalev and Alvarez / Golovkin fighting or about to fight. Also seen the best heavyweight fight in a generation earlier in the year.
