That Danni's clearly had no boxing training, he was asking Fury how do you jab the day before, whilst doing a jab from his elbow. Also on the lash the night before

I watched it cos my lad was interested and in some ways I think it was a triumph for boxing fans - it was such an appalling embarrassment that maybe boxing will decide enough is enough with this crossover/YouTube nonsense. A real nadir and hopefully there's some proper blowback.

        Not a chance.

For as long as events like that make far far more money than fights between two quality boxers, this muck is here to stay.

You have the male version of it and you also have venues being sold out for the female version and by that I mean the Instagram model types that are doing the same sort of bouts as the Logan brothers, and not the bare knuckle stuff done by the likes of Paige Van Zant and similar hard as nails women.

Not a fan of any bare knuckle stuff or that crazy fighting in a phone box thing but at least those involved in those are actual fighters that would mess up any of the youtuber jokes.

What I think you may see more of in the future is these youtube/reality gimps
branching out into other sports. Maybe playing in a friendly game for a known team (Looking at you Ryan Reynolds as being someone that I think would facilitate something like that for a youtube gimp)
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Aye I realise it's an extremely long shot. That Danis won't get another fight, though, that's for sure.

There has to be an answer though surely. Can't they branch out and set up their own body or something and call it something else.

The Saturday Night scrap outside The Duck and Hen maybe?

Not sure that screams PPV though.

As for whoever the Danis guy is, did not see the "fight", do not know who he is, but if there is money to be made out of having him in a ring then I think it is nailed on he will get another "fight"

He was as bad as Flintoff that time. Has to be seen to be believed. Clowning around, the most abysmal technique ever seen in a ring, barely threw a punch, started kicking the other fella. All sorts. If he gets another fight then I give up

You guys know there were a couple of world title fights on this weekend? Janibek scored a KO and Tim Tszyu put a very game Brian Mendoza through his paces to win a comfortable decision.

Not great fights but actual boxing. Given the public choose to watch that, we only have ourselves to blame.

Agreeable its farcical but one massive thing from it is that the arena was full for the undercards where as usally its half empty for the undercard and then fills up for the ring walks.

Far too much money it these days for it not to work though.

I've stopped going to the boxing as too many smackheads high on coke thinking they are AJ, spoils a good laugh

I don't think it really encroaches on pro boxing, other than that KSI fella trying to market it as such. Most of the others seem to refer to it as crossover boxing, like they're not pretend that there isn't a distinction?

Wasserman separate it as sports entertainment. To me they come across clearly as two different things, like professional wrestling/WWE and actual wrestling. It does need its own governance though.

No disrespect to any UK heads here as am sure all go to events without being an arsehole, but that sizeable minority that are coked up and/or out to start fights in the crowd is mostly a UK thing.

Same with the booing of national anthems and so on.

Go to a big boxing event in Germany or the US that does not have a UK fighter in the main event and the in crowd experience is almost always a very different one.

Watched Klitshcko vs Fury in dusseldorf, we were in the "home end" and it was brilliant, absolute no drama, do the MEN arena or Wembley and its ****ing awful

The difference being in the crowd in Germany compared to doing the same in Manchester or London is night and day.

At best at the UK venues your night is spoiled by loud groups of drunk and/or coked up men and women. At worst you get physically attacked and injured.

Do the same stuff in a German stadium and you find out pretty quickly how efficient their venue security and especially their police are.
