I don't know about anyone else but ever since the fight was made I've had a naggin feeling if the fight is close the judges are going to give the decision to Alvarez. He's got a massive following and it's obvious that golden boy are building him up as the next super star. He's also undefeated and with Mayweather on his way out in the next couple of years I wouldn't be surprised to see some controversy. I personally would hate to see him lose at this stage of his career as I'm a massive fan of Floyd's but I'm kind of expecting it unfortunately. I just hope he can take advantage of Canelo's suspect stamina and dominate from the middle to late rounds.

I'm fairly sure that Floyd is going to school Alvarez.

Floyd is simply too good. Wide UD for Floyd. Anything else would be a surprise.

As for Mosley and Floyd. I'm fairly sure that 9/10 Welterweights would have gone down from that Mosley shot. It was a peach. Floyd though remained upright and was able to whether the storm and then boxed his way to a wide UD.

Ricky Burns is defending his lightweight title on Saturday night. He's fighting Ray Beltran. Should be a decent wee scrap. Undercard isn't all that great.

I can't get rid of the feeling that Alvarez is just another lamb to the slaughter, another fighter with a great rep who ends up getting beat by FM.

I think his best bet is to let Floyd hit him on the head as often as he likes, infact head butt his right if he can really surprised me to see the state of FM hand after the last fight and the obvious pain he was in.

Nah, seriously, the lad has a punchers chance the same as every boxer that's ever stepped into the ring with FM, he will not out box him, and FM wont go toe to toe which is Alavarez's style.

Can't wait though, and age is not on FM side that's for sure, i just see him ending undefeated is all, and tbf that would be right and deserved imo.

So Froch is doing this dancing thing with his missus on ITV which would indicate he is not taking the Groves fight seriously.

              Dangerous game.

hmmmm I see that the referee and judges have been picked for the Mayweather fight. Whilst I'm happy with Bayless as the referee (I'd have been happy with either him or Tony Weeks) I raised an eyebrow when I read that CJ Ross is one of the judges. This is the same judge that pathetically scored the Bradley v Pacquiao fight 115-113 in Bradley's favour and wasn't made accountable for her shocking decision. I'm telling you lads if this fight is even close the fix is in right there. For me Mayweather needs to win this fight by a wide UD and I mean wide. I'm not talking 8-4 either. So much money has been invested in Alvarez and as I said before it's all about the passing of the torch and he's the next one in line in GBP eye. The minute you hear split decision next weekend you will know what I am talking about.

                      George Groves ‏@StGeorgeGroves 23m
@Carl_Froch says I'm being disrespectful to him?!? How could I be disrespectful.... to someone this dangerous?!?

Shocking decision. Burns got lucky there.

                          Very very poor decision that.

Well said Beltran telling it as it is. The sport is corrupt.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...

Utterly ludicrous decision. Fair play to Burns for battling on with a dislocated jaw, he showed tremendous courage and will to win, but anyone with eyes could see that he was well and truly beaten. For one judge to give it to Burns by THREE ROUNDS is so ridiculous as to scream corruption.

Very dignified response by Beltran. He's right that he deserves an immediate re-match in America. I'd put lots of money on the fact that the two of them won't fight again though.
