I still think he can do very well for himself. He has changed his coach which is probably the right thing to do.

The first knockout didn't bother me too much, we all know in the heavyweight division one shot can catch you and that's it.

The rematch - he was gone. I still dont know how he could be that knackered, it just makes no sense.

Price needs to dust himself down; have a couple of fights before he even thinks about Chisora or any other potential banana skin.

He punched himself out trying to finish the fight after the early knockdown. Thompson was the first fighter who i can think of who managed to get up from a knock down and shake off the effects.

Prices problem, and he's admitted this, is that for the first 10 fights or so he was quite literally fighting Romanian bin men.

A new trainer may do him the world of good but he's got to be realistic as to how much he'll earn, and where he'll be on the bill for the foreseeable future.

I would have thought he'd have lasted longer than the fifth.

Agree with the last bit though, he needs to build himself back up. I think he'll do that. How far he gets I have no idea, I was one of the people who thought he could genuinely go all the way before the Thompson fights.

thing is though - he's 30 - which has shocked me a bit, i thought he was about 26

i know heavyweights do seem to peak a bit later - but he's got what two or three years at his best - so what 6 fights or so

for me - admittedly i'm a bit of an armchair boxing fan - but i'd say he can only afford one or two 'smaller' fights next and after that he needs to have put himself back in the mix with two good wins and then a fight against say Chisora

there hasn't been a murmour from him in months about any potential fight - at least Fraudley when he gets sparked out, comes out and says (after another retirement ) that he wants to get back in and prove the doubters wrong

In 2012 he had 4 fights - 4 wins (jan/may/oct/nov) - granted they were all pretty straight forward knockouts but it was pretty active

this year tho - two fights, got knocked out twice, by the same 40 yr old (feb/june) and disappeared

i'd like to see him get back in the ring before the end of the year, and get a fight/win in to give him a boost before the new year - even if it's just against a bum

I still think he's got 5 or 6 years left in him at his best given his build and experience to date (not many hard fights apart from the two he lost). He needs to get busy though as you say - 4 or 5 fights next year including someone like Chisora would help. I thought he had all the attributes to go all the way until the Thompson fights too.

I saw Price on Fenwick Street the other day driving a 7 series BMW. Brand new, would have cost a bit.

In fact a mate of mine from years back was tipped for big things in boxing but blew his talent...naturally much better than khan in the amateurs at the same time, think he was the most decorated British amatuer, got all sorts thrown at him

Did you see Chisora at the weekend? First time i actually thought he looked indecent shape and put in a good performance, always thought of him as a bit of a joke to be honest but he did well.

                    Boxing

Saw a bit of his fight yesterday.

He looked good and put in a decent performance, was about 2 stone lighter than when he fought Fury.

Has Chisora fought Fury? Must have missed that.

Yeah a couple of years back Fury beat him on points.
