Nevermind you can buy a Matchroom blockbuster PPV card for only 14.95 at the end of the month.

Ricky Burns is fighting later this evening.

Kirkland vs Alvarez is also on. Should be a cracker.

That ref was a disgrace!! Watt and Halling weren't much better either. Good effort Ricky!

            Scorecards were a joke 117 - 109 and 116 - 110 x 2

Throw Figueroa in with anyone near world level at LWW and he'll get hammered.

            Horrible technique and no power.

Watt is just terrible, puts me off watching any sky fights, unbearable man.

The ref, well **** me I have never seen such an inept performance, he was shocking, should never ref a fight again, what the **** was he doing making grabs for the arms of the boxers?! Unbelievably **** reffing.

Burns lost the fight but not as wide as the cards said, Figueroa was pretty useless as boxers go too, he wont do a great deal.

I recorded the Canelo v Kirkland fight and have now watched it. Canelo was devastating. What a uppercut that put Kirlkand down the second time!!! It makes Mayweather's easy win over Canelo look even more impressive!

                    That was a majestic uppercut.

                    Love Alvarez's style.

Was a nice hit, but so so easy against a very poor opponent.

What was worse than the match making was the attempts to talk Zumbano up as being a credible opponent after the fight, and the talk of how it was a bit of a big deal that he knocked Zumbano out.

But what Zumbano did a lot last night is something that Joshua is also prone to doing in fights and that is leaving his left wide open after throwing a half hearted attempt that ends up being neither jab nor cross. Zumbano showed exactly what happens when you do that in front of a fighter who is better than you.

The problem, as always, with trying to assess Joshua is that he has fought
guys who for the most part have been extremely limited and who would be at a level below the sort of sparring partners that Joshua would be in with. So he is going to appear quick, dominant, powerful and durable every single time in comparison to who he is in with.

But if you watch him closely and time his shots, and then watch how he turns, how his head movement is etc etc., then there are signs there that he may well run into some serious problems when he is put in front of guys who have the tools to fire back with intent, and who have the tools and/or the ring savvy to use Joshua's possible flaws against him.

Going in against Kevin Johnson is a step in the right direction, but he needs to be going in against Kevin Johnson level fighters or better from here on in, and avoid the record padding fighters like Zumbano because he is learning nothing against them at this stage and all those bouts are doing for him at this stage is helping to keep him very one dimensional in pace as he is not being forced to change tempos and he is not having to figure out adjustments and re-adjustments for himself in the ring.

I'm very dubious about that one punch knockout, right after he was getting some doubts about his ability to deliver a one punch knockout.

Still massively unconvinced that he's anything other than hype.

Think the punch definitely did the damage, or Love is a very good actor, watch him getting up after, jelly legs.

Has been bugging me for a long long time as to whose style of boxing was very close to how Joshua moves and especially in how he throws punches.

Think it was Joshua's height that threw me off for so long, but after rewatching the fight against Zumbano it finally came to me.

                                Bruce Seldon.

Very similar punching styles, very similar footwork, very similar D work. Seldon was quicker with his hands than Joshua currently is and certainly was a tad quicker moving around the ring, but they have a very similar slightly musclebound, somewhat mechanical, style of throwing, and both are/were prone to leaving themselves open to a quick counter.
