This fella Haye is fighting can't take his eyes of David, it's stare stare stare, even when Haye isn't even looking at him. Tbh he looks like one of these wank generic movie hardmen that get positioned in frame just to get flattened by the star.

Just watched the Jacobs v Quillin fight. Wow, I didn't expect it to be over so quickly. Premature stoppage but Quillin's leg went all jelly and would have been badly hurt had it carried on. I've got mad respect for Jacobs, diagnosed with bone cancer, comes back to win a title and then destroys Quillin

Agreed, absolutely buzzing for him. He's a brilliant fella and very easy to root for after what he's been through!

The petition to have Tyson Fury ousted from SPOTY award approaching 100,000 signatures.

Maybe they could have a subsection Sporting cunt of the year?

I think Fury is a thick shyte with some very nasty (and, to no small degree, ignorant) views, but I think there needs to be a separation of achievement and man when it comes to sports awards.

If the shortlist is based on sporting achievement alone, then I really cannot see why he would not be on the shortlist.

Then as it is a public vote, the 100,000 who have signed the petition can vote someone else on the shortlist as their choice and do their bit to ensure Fury does not win if that were to be their wont.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

he's undoubtedly a thick ******, and his prehistoric views make the 'personality' bit something of a stretch.

The fact this is an award based on personality suggests an obligation to be inspirational out with your sporting performance. It certainly puts a bit of added interest in the event, particularly around the speech he would have to make live on BBC1 should he win.

About time they dropped the "Personality" from the title, as it causes the same arguments every year. "Nigel Mansell, Ryan Giggs, Michael Owen, Andy Murray - what personality do they have then?!" comes the cry year in year out.

I hear that too, but 'Personality' can also be defined as...

:a famous, notable, or prominent person; celebrity:

It doesn't have to mean they are a decent and moral role model of a person, does it ?

Fury stripped of the IBF belt. Joke really, saying he has to fight their mandatory challenger but as Wlad triggered the rematch he can't do so.

The governing bodies are a complete farce

You all see that bloke on BBC news call him a dick head?

Is a joke IBF have took his belt though. What can he do if Wlad has a clause, he's literally ****ed either way.

Got to wonder what the IBFs thinking is here. You'd imagine there'd be more to make from a Fury / Wlad rematch than the Glazkov / Martin fight that they've ordered.

I doubt they'd had been so quick to strip Wlad.

I can only think they can't believe Wlad will be as bad a second time around and by splitting the belt away from him they hope to get whomever their new champion is a shot at Wlad straight away afterwards, still doesn't make much sense.

No way would Wlad have been stripped if he'd have won
