Conor McGregor, Floyd Mayweather reportedly come to terms on a mega-fight.
Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather have ‘agreed a deal’ to stage the fight of 2017, according to a report.
McGregor and Mayweather camps are set to meet up in Las Vegas in the coming days, with a deal for the duo to fight edging closer in recent days as possible dates have been finalised.
McGregor pulled out of a Q&A event with fans in Dublin scheduled for this Friday after organisers confirmed ‘an unavoidable schedule change will see Conor McGregor in Las Vegas at the time of the event’.
Now the latest report suggests McGregor will be filming an anti-bulling video in America this week as part of the deal that will give the green light to the Mayweather showdown.
The Nevada Sport Commission fined McGregor after he was deemed to have thrown a bottle in the direction of opponent Nate Diaz ahead of their UFC showdown showdown last year, with the Irishman’s gesture to take part in the film appearing to be part of a charm offensive to win backing from the Commission for the fight to take place.
A source from the Straight Blast Gym has confirmed that an agreement is in place for the fight to take place.
“Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather have agreed a deal to fight and have both settled on their respective fees,” stated their source.
“The contract hasn’t officially been signed yet because of a third party hold-up but all the details have all been agreed on. The fight could even be announced within two weeks.”
McGregor and Mayweather have been involved in several rounds of verbal sparring over recent months, with both clearly keen to hype up an event that could break box office records if it is confirmed.
As if it'd be anything other than a straight boxing match.
Farce then. The rules should at least be partly taken from both codes, even if they are more in favour of FM/Boxing .
Ffs, wear ufc gloves at the very least, how can he not agree to that, after all, it's him who will be landing most shots.
Allow kicks too, no elbows or ground take downs, all done on their feet, but kicks should be allowed, surely FM has the ability/skill to avoid most of them ?

If it's just plain boxing, it's ****, pointless.
Not for the two multimillionaires making multi millions from it.
Id like to see them Box with the MMA gloves, if the world was fair that would be a good compromise.
Obviously they wont, and Floyd will put a clinic on him, ive seen footage of Mcgregor straight up boxing and he is not good, im thinking itll take about 2 minutes for Floyd to figure out Mcgregors karate stance and then he will box his head off.
Im undecided as to if Floyd will knock him out though
I love McGregor and i'm not a big fan of Mayweather but respect how great he is but I really wouldn't want this to happen - I don't see what either has to gain other than the millions and millions
it's obvious tho - Mayweather smashes him in the ring an McGregor smashes Floyd in the octagon
that said i'd still watch it if it ever happened
Part of me would ****ing piss myself if McGregor somehow caught Mayweather early on and knocked him out
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
