what about the positive cocaine test or that other hearing for drugs test he failed 2 years ago?

Looked to me Haye had the injury before the fight hence the wild swings trying to take Bellew out, the injury finally took it's toll and it became a complete farce.
No wonder though he decided to fight with that sort of money on offer and it wasn't as if he was ever in any real trouble from Bellew

No doubt imo - and the reaction and hammering he took over the toe injury meant he couldn't/didn't want to use it as an excuse. Never mentioned his injury after the fight which is nuts really as he was clearly on one leg.Originally posted by RichC View PostLooked to me Haye had the injury before the fight hence the wild swings trying to take Bellew out, the injury finally took it's toll and it became a complete farce.

That and the money.
Glad Fury is coming back. With Haye out of the picture now his presence keeps it interesting with AJ, Wilder, Parker and Wlad. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yeah, the toe factor came into it as well although I fancy the £4M or so had more to do with it and he was never in trouble in there.
Fury coming back should make it interesting, regardless of what happens with AJ and Wlad I'd really like to see Fury and AJ get in the ring together, be an interesting fight

Is the majority of boxing a joke now? I have lost all interest in the sport now. Used to always seek it out at the weekends. Doesnt seem to be many characters in the sport I like, and the fights people want never happen when they need to.
Haye is a joke, and the way people throw money at his fights really makes me dislike the whole thing now.
Im sure it has always been like this, but its so transparent now.
I think MMA and more specifically UFC having a match maker rather than 100s of different promoters has made that far more attractive for someone who wants to see the top guys going at it. Its not always the way, but when there is a money fight, it usually happens. Joe Silva has retired from UFC, but his long time assistant has taken over. So there is at least some continuity there.
I dunno, boxing seems like its on its last legs to me.*Except Michael, who died.
