Actually, I’d not seen that, but have just watched it

2 great champs, discussing what was an amazing fight.

Fascinating, and respect to them both for meeting again. Particularly Vlad, real class to discuss in such detail what was his last defeat.

I love AJ, he’s got the lot. Great attitude, very respectful, and then Some serious talent. He is so honest in his appraisal of himself and that is a real strength. You can totally see a difference in him and how he carries himself from before and after that fight, it was the making of him.

I hope Vlad is right, I hope AJ goes on to do Kate the division, because ultimately he is a good role model for boxing.

I’d be interested to know how many times Vlad playfully ‘hit’ AJ in the entire interview, just from the bits we saw it must have been about 30 times

Ive just stumbled upon Fury v Sexton for the British belt, live and exclusive on Channel 5. **** me, what a **** production. Live from Bolton with what looks like a big projector screen in the stadium and panning to Kerry Katona in the crowd. All the crowd are lit up so you get to see everyone in their Sunday best but watching like it's the snooker.

          Loma Vs Linares

            Loma really is something else.
The Golden Boy fix was in so glad he got the stoppage.
Judges had him up by 2,down by 2 and even going into the tenth

Don't know about a fix. It was a pretty even fight up until the stoppage.

Watching real time I didn't see the shot that finished the fight.

Had to watch the slow Mo replay from several different angles. Great punch from a great boxer.

However Loma shipped more punishment during that fight than he probably has during his entire career. Linares is no slouch but he's been around for a long time. I think a big lightweight in their prime stops Loma. Mikey Garcia being that man.

In no world was Linares ever 2 rounds up
                I had it 7-2 with a 10-8 round 6 so Loma 4 rounds up.
De la Hoya is the king of having judges in his pocket.
Size is about the only thing I can see beating Loma - he's clearly going to try for a 4th belt at light welter but will have to be careful with the matchmaking.
Incredible talent and a pleasure to watch.
All credit to Linares as well.

Yeah, on reflection Linares being 2 rounds up is mental.

Garcia is a beast of a boxer. No obvious weaknesses in his game at all. Would be a far more difficult fight for Loma than what he just had against Linares. His defensive game would certainly be tested to the full against Garcia.

One from Beltran or Garcia was being spoken of last night as being his next opponent.

I know which one of those two looks the easier route, and he is also promoted by Arum, same as Loma is. So Garcia may well be facing Linares( after he takes on Easter jr) and Loma will probably square off against Betran

Garcia had a unification fight in June or July.

Not sold on Beltrán. Think he's a crude brawler and the only thing he has over Loma is size. You'd like to think that Loma would box rings round him.

Even size is not that much in Beltran's favour tbh as he is not a very big lightweight in terms of build. For my money he and Loma would not weigh that much apart come fight night whereas Garcia would be a full blown welterweight come fight night. Loma would look very good against him imho. Too quick, too clever, and he would systematically break Beltran down by the half way mark I suspect.

Beltran is fairly limited in terms of skill set compared to Garcia as well. As you say he is crude in style and technique. I don't think it unkind to say that his 7 losses shows him to be more of a belt warmer than a belt keeper.

                          Me too

I was absolutely ****ing steaming and put it down to a combo of that and his speed. Great fight.

                            Adonis or Jack?

I'm picking Badou Jack, he's relentless when he's in good form and Stevenson is aging. Don't think it's a good fight for him but lets see. Awkward that they both spoke about other fights in recent press considering this is quite a big bout itself.

Alex Ariza sticking the boot into Roach, Pacquiao and all. Picking Matthyse. Pretty much saying his camp and set up is amatuerish and no one knows anything about technical or physical side of things.

Stevenson and Matthysse would be my picks

At 40 you have to be thinking that time will catch up with Stevenson soon, but he is a very wily fighter when he has to be and the guy can hit hard and fast.

What is in Jack's favour, other than the obvious age gap, is the fact that Jack has been in with a better calibre of fighters on a regular basis over the past three or four years (albeit at super middleweight) than Stevenson has during the same period and as such should be the one more used to having hard fights in the run up to this fight.

Jack on form is a bit of a machine, but Stevenson is clever, has fast hands, is defensively good when he needs to be and he can hurt almost anyone left in the division.

Think it is telling though that Stevenson had no real problem taking this fight, especially given his reluctance to go anywhere near Andre Ward before Ward retired and he was equally reserved when it came to talking about fighting Kovalev.

Ronnie on the blag here surely? Smacks of th sort of appointment made at 2am in a nightclub.

Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has added snooker star Ronnie O'Sullivan to his support team.

Fury, 29, has not fought since winning the world title in 2015 but returns to the ring on 9 June against a still to be announced opponent in Manchester.

Five-time world champion O'Sullivan, 42, has worked with sports psychologist Steve Peters in recent years.

"He's going to help me with my mental side of things - sports psychology and all that," Fury said of O'Sullivan.
