If I was Eddie Hearn I would make it a condition that the Joshua v Wilder fight takes place in this country. He'll have massive doubts like us all that if the fight was to happen in the US and goes to the scorecards, Wilder will get it irrespective of how Joshua performs on the night. I still cannot get over the Mexicans scorecard.

True you never know in boxing, but Joshua imo would be more inclined to get into a fight at some point than to try and out box or smother Wilder.

So on that basis I would see Wilder landing more than he did aganst Fury, but would also imagine that Wilder would be hit more often (and cleaner) than against Fury.

The scoring on Matchroom cards is equally as horrific as what we'd witnessed last night.

Only reason the fight would be in the UK is money, nothing else.

Scorecards are always an issue. I wouldn't conclusively say it will make a difference. Money talks more than anything else. Regardless, be it Wilder or not, Joshua is due in the US. He should be making more of a name for himself there.

I didn't watch the fight, only saw the highlights so I can't really comment - I've seen some people say that a draw isn't beyond the realms of reality. It doesn't sound like a Canelo job.

World championship bouts are still taking place in Germany, we all know what it's like for away fighters there.

It was a Canelo job. Granted there were two knockdowns but Wilder was schooled the entire fight. I’ve never been a massive Fury fan but he deserved the win there by a 3 maybe 4 point margin.

Can't really comment as I didn't watch the fight, just some highlights, but in America many judges look for aggression and forcing action or at least throwing big punches. Fury's tapping punches may hardly register. Not really correct for determining a fight but there is a theory that it's pro boxing and that means forceful punching and doing damage.

Too many examples in boxing of bad judging which is a shame. Wilder & Fury will be happy enough as will the promoters as this will happen again with a likely bigger pay day on offer

One judge scored it the same as I did which was 114-112 in favour of Fury, which when the two knockdown are taken into account I think is a fair reflection of the fight.

The judge that scored it 113 -113 basically saw one of the close 10-9 Fury rounds as a Wilder round and so turned the 114 -112 into 113 -113 so that was not crazy judging either.


The only judge that was way way off imo was the Mexican judge. Have no idea what fight he was watching as his scoring did not seem to reflect was was happening in certain rounds as he gave rounds to Wilder in which Wilder was not throwing much, not landing much, and also not avoiding much. His scoring was just way off of what I saw and also off what the other two judges saw. To be honest his scoring stank of either incompetence or extreme bias.

I was always backing AJ to beat Wilder but after last night I think Wilder would knock him out. Wilder just seems to throw the big bombs and I just can’t see AJ showing the skill and movement Fury did to avoid those punches. Tyson as much as used to dislike him is in my eyes the best boxer in that division
