Predictable, prescriptive **** from England, but it doesn't help that the Japanese backs spent the entire first half offside but only got penalised for it as we got near the break.

England will end up going further than us in this World Cup, but they are a brutal watch. Some of the kicks FFS. Mix it up a bit. Just run it. Seems to be a 5 phase limit and then it’s getting launched.

Pleased to win obvs, but honestly some of the decision making and option taking would have frustrated me when I was coaching the U11's; it's borderline hopeless from guys earning a living from the game.

That try from Marlers header seemed to knock the stuffing out of the Japanese.

You ran it a bit more last 20, and looked better. The draw is really going to enable England to build momentum.
