What a total cunt vettel is for parking it where he did. You can tell by the way the team were all comforting him afterwards that he's like a spoilt child when things go wrong. They had to massage his ego. First retirement in ages. Brilliant. He could of pulled off the track way before where he eventually did. Instead the safety car gave his team mate a chance of winning he clearly didnt deserve. Some good close racing.

They should just go back to making the best performance tyres they can rather than trying to construct tyres that degrade to a certain set of data
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

Good piece by Gary Anderson on the kerbs at the end of the BBC coverage.Certainly played a part.
Like it or not we haven't seen this from the tyre's until now so clearly something else was playing a part today. They've been tasked with making a tyre to a certain spec and that's exactly what they've done.Todays issues apart, like Ross Brawn said,Pirelli aren't allowed to make more durable tyres so its hardly their fault.

Thing is we don't know as of yet if the tyres supplied were up to the required spec today, seeing the number of random punctures happening is really quite worrying.
Perhaps it's not only Pirelli's fault but also the rule makers of F1 but being the company supplying the equipment they'll be at the front of the queue for any blame handed out.

We have to separate the issues though. Today is a whole separate issue to what's being going on all season. The tyre deg issues so far this season is what I'm talking about, people blame Pirelli for ruining the racing but it's not their fault, they've been told to do it by the FIA.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostThing is we don't know as of yet if the tyres supplied were up to the required spec today, seeing the number of random punctures happening is really quite worrying.

Today was a whole new thing and obviously it's not acceptable. Ironically they brought a new construction of tyre to this race to try and prevent the delamination we saw a couple of times earlier in the season and ended up with something far worse.
Edit:-not a new construction but a new way of bonding the tyre parts together. Couldn't bring the new construction of tyres because the teams couldn't agree on itLast edited by G; 30-06-13, 04:31 PM.
