How does that not affect performance? If the frame (in this case the seatpost) is soaking up shocks, I can't see how it has no impact on power transfer, just like any other shock absorption system.

      Thanks for the technical dissection.
      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Incredible stage in the Tour of Basque Country today. Terrible weather - 2ºC, rain in the valleys, sleet and snow in the hills - and 10 climbs. 70km on the front of the bunch from two Sky riders, a brave lone breakaway from a 22 year old rider who so nearly made it over the last climb in front. And then a clever break from Porte to take the stage and 4 seconds to make it even easier for him to win the overall after tomorrow's ITT.

Although it's not really the same race, just the same name.

Thought he might squeeze it out until the Commonwealth games.

                        Amazing career he has had.

Yes, it's been trailed for a few days now.

                                Thought it was very casual.

Is that something that happens often?
