I think this is a sign of things to come for both teams....

Thanks for the insightIn a nutshell this is very possible, particularly if you're a bowler. I was a batting allrounder but bowled a lot of overs. It's a different type of fitness but it definitely kills your back. Especially if you're a fast bowler the strain on your body (joints particularly) is immense.
Also batting a long innings then standing in the field is a killer. Depending on which level you play, you may also need to play several days consecutively. It is tiring waking up, especially if you've been on the booze or had a bad nights sleep knowing you have to do it all again the next day. You can't really compare 90 minutes of contact running around to 7 hours on and off. If the batsmen before you have long innings or you get out early, it's possible that you're at the field the entire day and have done **** all. Unless you're a fast bowler running in hard, it's unlikely you'll experience that type of exhaustion in cricket otherwise. However it is worth noting that sprinting to run between the wickets with all of the protective equipment in the hot sun can be extremely taxing. When you haven't caught your breath and a bowler is running in is terrible, that heavy breathing and you can see your head is moving due to your helmet moving in your vision when trying to watch the ball.
If he's a keeper it's 100% possible as they are doing a squat for each delivery, then running to the stumps to collect the ball then back to position. So it depends what exactly.
Cooler and less humid weather definitely helps. I've played in the UK, New Zealand, South Africa and Australia; and I can say for a fact the latter is the worst because of the intense heat and horrendous humidity. Constantly drinking water, but you just sweat it out immediately.

What the ****. Why are we playing Wade and Paine?? Both teams have 2 ****ing keepers in.
Neither is that good a batsman either FFS, why would you not put a dedicated batsman or an all rounder in that can have a bowl. Dumb
