Question for anyone that knows though. If while down the gym should I mix up my cardio? Because I enjoy the cycling, and could do it the whole time. Or should I do others to mix it up? I've always assumed cardio was cardio.
You should do weights more than cardio.

3 weights sessions a week will do loads more for you than 3 cardio. And you can use a run with the dog twice a week as your cardio.
Contrary to popular belief, I have huge genitals.

Anyone any tips on improving flexibility that doesn't involve going to yoga or pilate classes?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Doing weights too. I tend to do a long cycle for warm up then a load of different weights, then a cycle to finish. Just didn't know if I should change the cycling to different things all the time.

If you mix up the training every four to six weeks then it will have more of an impact

The problem with doing the same exercises/routine all the time is your body will get used to it and the weight loss/body change will slow down as a result

As for the cycling it is less of an impact than running or rowing for example.

On the weights have you been given a program?

Yeah man, just do stretches for 5 - 10 mins a day. I used to do a bit of martial arts and I noticed a huge improvement in my flexibility just from the stretches we did during the warm up. It was pretty crazy actually - you notice a difference really quickly as well, or at least I did.

Cross trainer is probably a better way to warm up than cycling mate.

As far as different excercises, try being strategic with your reps. For example, you could do a set comprising of:

                  Pull ups
                  Kettlebell swings
                  Lunges

All without stopping. The idea being that you're working different muscle groups, after your pull ups your arms get a bit of a rest, after your swings, your core gets a rest. It's ****ing knackering mate, so it's good for cardio as well.

Dont lie to us or yourself, if your doing more exercise & eating less you would have lost weight, its a fact of life.

                    Your still eating too much.

Go **** yourself. I know exactly what I've been eating and it is around 1500 calories not taking into account the calories lost running every other day for 30 minutes. I have lost about 3lb now but had expected to have lost more by now.

                      I don't appreciate being called a liar.

                          i think you are lying

take no notice of scale weight, too many variables such as clothes, what youve eaten and drank in a day, whether you need a piss, whether its fat loss or water loss, or muscle gain or anything

I vary in weight at 5-6 pounds during the day, so I weigh myself after a morning piss, although if ive been on a night out and fell asleep in my clothes I can lose about 5-6 pound in sweat

Bit harsh! He doesn't have to be lying. It's only the two initial weeks. Slight errors, plus changes in muscle:fat etc...

Nice - I get accused of lying again by someone who doesn't know me. I though this was a tip thread not a bullying one.
