Had an ultrasound on my arms today, luckily no tearing of the muscles, compartmentalisation or elevated CK levels. Just seriously fatigued them.Originally posted by foresterbloke View Post**** crossfit, got swollen triceps due to pushing myself with 130 burpees.
Two weeks rest is likely.
Going back to putting miles on the bike, attacking hills and doing trail skills work. Was muß, das muß.

Do you get free NHS gym membership and a personal trainer for 6 months? My father in law had a triple heart bypass late last year and still trots off down the gym for his sessions.Originally posted by Saveloy View PostI walked for 5km today
Recovery progressing nicely. Hopefully I can start running in June.Go **** yourself

No, that's never been mentioned. I didn't know that was an option - I feel cheated!Originally posted by Boogs View PostDo you get free NHS gym membership and a personal trainer for 6 months? My father in law had a triple heart bypass late last year and still trots off down the gym for his sessions.
Although maybe it's because my heart stuff has never been lifestyle or exercise related? (not implying your father in law's was though). Or was he offered it more as a recovery thing?
This whole recovery thing is pretty frustrating. Still, I should be grateful I guess.
I'm quite looking forward to getting back to running. I let it slide over winter which was pretty slack of me.

No he's slim and reasonably fit. They just keep an eye on him and make sure he's not doing to much to soon.Originally posted by Saveloy View PostNo, that's never been mentioned. I didn't know that was an option - I feel cheated!

I must admit I'm very surprised with all the bother you've been through that this hasn't been mentioned or offered to you!Go **** yourself

Its timings. Week 1 starts off with intervals 60 seconds running 90 seconds walking. Week 2 is 90 seconds running 120 seconds walking. Just increases from there.
The final 3 weeks are 25,28 and 30 minutes of running solid. Its a good way to build from Zero IMO. Not had any injuries or niggles yet.
Im pretty much just doing 4.5km in the 30 minutes of running. But im sort of holding myself back and not pushing too hard too soon.
Thinking about getting back in that way?*Except Michael, who died.
