Well I've reached the end of the 3 week plan and man that was the hardest thing I've ever done in the gym, by a country mile.

I've decided to continue with it for another 2-3 weeks but tweaking the exercises so as not to get boring. Weight has went from 14 stone 6lbs(at my max over xmas) down to 13stone 12lbs yesterday. The weight loss has levelled off a bit and the inches have dropped all round my body fat wise.

Diet was the hardest thing to do if I'm honest. Although my wife has been a godsend as she has done 99% of all the cooking of chicken breasts/broccoli/etc

....celebrated the end of the program with a Chinese last night ...you gotta live a little

Cheers mate! Squats with chains on the bar instead of plates is also a good one, I'm guessing you're already aware mate.
I really can't understand why anyone would use the machines nowadays when there's so much more to do!

My average 10k at the moment is around 51 mins with my best being 49 mins so the 3hr 30 mark is really a target in 3 months rather than what I am capable of now! my best half marathon was 1hr 50mins so hoping to beat that aswell.

I did the Farnham marathon a year or so ago in 3:43 and that's off road and hilly as ****, i've never run a road marathon so i'm hoping i'll be a bit quicker?

Who knows! i'm struggling to run after work with late nights so need to make the weekends count more!
3.15 would be a cracking time, I have a mate who ran last years London marathon in 3hr 30 and is aiming for a 3 hr time this time around, he has done some ridiculous training this year though, started in November!

The time you got for the Farnham one is really impressive, best of luck with the London one mate!

I have the same problem at the moment, struggling to fit the runs in with working long hours, a wife and three kids that want some attention, selfish if you ask me, and at the moment I have a bad case of Manflu!

11.4km My wife volunteered me to go running with her friend's husband The speed differential was frankly embarrassing but he took pity and eased off after I coughed up a lung. I need a lie down

With the walking included last year I managed 4hr 30min, was on for 3hr 45mins at the half way stage so was gutted!

    What about you mate?
