Soup is **** man! You don't eat soup, you drink it. It's ****ing rank and pointless and mostly tomato-based.
I agree that most soup is yuck. Doing it wrong. Why put cream into soup?
I make my own every now and again.
If you ever have a roast chicken, chop up a load of veg like carrots, onions, celery, then simmer with the chicken carcass for a coupe of hours. Add some salt and herbs if you wish.
When done, you can either drain the stock, or put the veg back in and blend. It's up to you. You can keep it in the fridge or freezer. When you fancy eating some, just re-heat by bringing to the boil with add vermicelli noodles, or make croutons, or just have some chunky bread. Lush.

That doesn't sound too bad actually, especially with noodles.
I just can't get any satisfaction with soup though. It's not particularly healthy (unless you make your own), tasty, nutritious or filling, and I just don't see the point of it.

Another thing to cut out is Sugar. I drink 8 or so cups of tea and coffee a day. Ive just switched to sweetener. Took a few days to get used too mind. Its got a different taste.
In my last job I used to drink 7 cups a day with 2 sugars in each. Thats 14 a day, or 70 a week. Plus the extra at weekends. Think I worked out I was having about a bag every 2.5 weeks or something.
