Yeah, you're probably right. But 20 over! That's 10% out.

I want a power meter but they cost thousands.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Get yourself a Garmin Forerunner with a heart rate monitor

You see there, Polo. I'm a total Nike Sportswatch fanboi. You can get a polar monitor to go with it too. Looks fab and is simple enough for even the most senior of senors to use.

Did the Blaydon Race yesterday. Considering my left foot is totally ****ed at the minute I'll take my time of 41:46 for 6 miles. The quickest runner was 13 minutes faster than me Mutha****er!!!
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Far better time than I can do I assure you

The Garmin have more bells and whistles but have tended to come at a steeper price, so depends what you want. If all you're after is time, distance, pace, heart rate readings then it's definitely the way to go. The forerunners do all the fancy schmancy virtual competitor / fartlek guidance type stuff too though.

Nah, power meters are far more accurate for measuring cycling performance.

Was made to watch a programme about Jodie Marsh’s bodybuilding last night.

As repulsive as she looks, she got herself in some shape in just 8 weeks. Fair play to her, I couldn’t have did it, especially on a vegetarian diet.

              Too revolting for bigger pick.

Some famous bodybuilder on the programme said he used to eat 140 egg whites a day.

That bodybuilding look is repulsive imo, but fair play to her for being disciplined enough to do that in eight weeks.

                Looks horrid though.

She looks like a bit of Biltong.

It’s amazing the difference that fake tan crap makes though. She went to America and bulked up further, but wearing normal clothes she still looked moderately human (bar the face). That tan makes them look ridiculously freaky though.

DMAX- Ch 144 on Sky. It seems to be repeated constantly.

There are two of them. In the first one she has 8 weeks starting from scratch to get in shape for a UK competition. In the second one she enters an American competition and has 14 weeks to build on her previous work.

I've been doing a fitness training programme for the last 3 weeks, it's called PHA (Peripheral Heart Action) training, it's where you alternate between lower and upper body exercises in a series of really quick exercises. So things such as box press ups, ball hamstring curls, seated squats, leg raises, step jogs and **** like that.

It keeps your heart rate constantly elevated which means you burn more calories in turn losing more weight. It also only takes half the time to do than a normal gym session which is handy when you only want to go the gym for a quick session after work or whatever. The Fat Loss programme for instance takes me about 35 minutes to do and I do it three times a week, it does need to be done for at least 6 weeks before you see results.

This is the book I bought it's got all the workouts in it. I'd heard about the guy that does it - Matt Robers in the Telegraph, he's a renowned fitness instructor and does a lot with Prem footballers and other famous people.

I'm a reasonably fit lad and I find it hard going. You need to persist at it but supposedly it works. I do feel much fitter since starting it.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

Anyone watch the Panorama programme on BBC last night about sports supplements?

Basically said that all energy drinks and most supplements are a waste of time. More interestingly they also said that special running shoes are a waste of time also and there is no evidence to suggest they prevent injury or improve performance. I’ve heard so many people swear by proper running shoes and I’ve been tempted a few times to get a pair, only to be put off by the fact they are all so ugly. Think I’ll follow their advice though and stick with a normal pair that I find comfortable.
