Thanks and yes the weight is still off. It is all about finding the carb balance. I stray a little, but it doesnt really affect my weight.Originally posted by RedReet View Post**** me, fair play to you.
I'm planning on weighing myself tomorrow but am not too optimistic. Got dragged to the bar yesterday for a 50th birthday and although I only had a few vodkas with diet coke, I ate like a cunt when I got home.
Still find the diet quite easy though and probably feel better on it than my normal diet, so could actually continue it for as long as I wanted, if I always had the time to prepare my food.
More realistically I'm considering making non gym days no carb days. How did you keep the weight off afterwards, I assume you didn't go completely back to your previous eating routine that gained you the 23kgs?
Just been away on holiday for 2 weeks, before I started this I would come back about 7 kgs heavier, but I actually came back a little lighter than I went away.
I guess the 2 biggest things I have given up is beer (although I have 1 occasionally) and bread (hardly touch the stuff nowadays unless it is garlic bread)

I shouldn’t have too much bother keeping the weight off even with a high carb and alcohol diet as I get enough exercise to balance it out. What will be interesting is my next heavy drinking binge when I’ll booze every day for a few months with little to no exercise, I wonder if I’ll balloon up then.Originally posted by Assassin View PostThanks and yes the weight is still off. I actually plan to come back on my impending holiday a lot lighter too. I’m going self catering and I won’t have a single penny to buy anything as I’m trying to sell my house.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Just been out for my first run in 7 weeks. No reason for the lay off other than holidays / laziness. The last run i had was a 10k road race which i finished in a PB of 49.27
Today
5k in just under 27mins.
Felt utterly horiffic during the run. Set off far to fast. First K in 5 mins last K in 5m47s
Got a 10k in Paisley at the end of the month.

I too would run 10km as fast as possible if I found myself in Paisley..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

A pattern?
I've been to Paisley a couple of times. Quite a long time ago though so maybe it's changed.
Or perhaps my assessment at the time was unfair. I used to be terribly grumpy, one might even say negative, about things but I'm much more sweetness and light now.

Seriously though your first assessment of Paisley was correct. It's a ****e hole of a town.

Chaffed nipples are the devil. Bodyglide is the answer. It's great stuff. Absolutely marvellousOriginally posted by Assassin View PostWell done
Have you suffered from joggers nipple?
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Shaggy: did you ever keep up your diet?
I too am now delving more and more into fat ******* territory since the baby arrived on the scene. I'm finding it hard to find the time to go for runs any more, and I've been eating too much crap of late too.
Worse still it's screwed up my digestive system, I'm now getting persistent stomach pains
I've narrowed down the cause to bread I think, so I think I'm going to have to plan some kind of diet that involves reducing the amount of bread I eat.
Anyone know any decent diets, other than Atkins style ones, that cut down on the amount of bread you eat?

I kept to mine for 2 months, then slipped for a month or so. But Im back on target now. My brother in law is a personal trainer which helps, so he has been advising me. Ive also got myself a bike, and have taken that out a few nights recently, which has been really enjoyable on a sunny evening.
He has also go me onto Kettle Bells, which he assures me are good for fat burning and increasing core strength.
So Im pleased with my progress, even if it is much slower than when I started. This time next year though I should be in much better shape.*Except Michael, who died.

There's a Spurs fan in my office who's been a massive fat ******* for as long as I've known him
, but over the last month or so he's lost an absolute ****load of weight. It's ridiculous how fast it's dropped off him. I'm going to ask him how he's done it, but my current working theory is a stomach staple

I'd imagine he's eating healthy and excercising. There's no great mystery to it mate!Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostThere's a Spurs fan in my office who's been a massive fat ******* for as long as I've known him
