I got a lighter ones when I started..was a bit of a waste of money really as you move up them pretty quickly...they are good to learn the different exercises but when you know them they just become expensive doorstops. If your brother inlaw has them I would get a couple of lessons, borrow his lighter ones for a week or two then get a 16 and a 20

Really good home workout I don't use them as much as I should but as Luke says if you can get a program, get the form right and keep changing up the exercises the results can be seen pretty quick.

I use them in intervals so 40secs exercise and 20secs rest.

I've been on my health drive for about four weeks now and have lost a stone

mainly due to cutting out choc, sweets, crisps, biscuits and maccys, in fact anything that I really enjoyed

        oats so simple for breakfast
        salad for lunch
salmon or chicken in the evening with mash and veg

doing more exercise as well, riding a bike when I can and also dusted off my old spring, do 300 a day

better dust off that ****ty stick I used to have to use to fight the ladies off

        Keep this quiet
if you carefully grind off the edges of a 50p coin you can use it as a 10p

Did my first Kettlebell workout last night. I was given a 10lb one by a friend who I didn't realise used them. Told me I should start with his light one and get my form right. Found a workout on Youtube and followed it.

**** me did that suck after I had finished. I was broken. Aching a bit today too.

Anyone know any decent wrist strengthening exercises?

I’ve got the wrists of a 9 year old girl and always had problems with them, but they’re really holding me back in the gym at the minute.

I’ve been trying wrist curls using a barbell as recommended but I don’t know if I’m doing them wrong or don’t have the movement in my wrists for them to work properly.

A few sites even recommended just scrunching a sheet of paper into a ball, but I barely have the strength to do that, well at least not into a decent scrunched ball.

Wrist curls and reverse wrist curls are good.

Also if you do push ups try doing them with a close fist instead of palm down.

                  Or you could use

When I do push ups I use a bar due to lack of strength in my wrists. Think I might try placing them flat again and just doing them slowly.

Was considering getting something like that, but wasn't sure how well they worked. They weren't really mentioned in any of teh articles I read.

How about Kettle Bells? They have helped me out with press ups. My wrists seem to hurt less.

They are just some squeezing grips which you can use when watching your Ngoo highlight videos

What do you mean? Use them to help with press ups or use them to strengthen wrists?

They will help with wrist and forearm strengthening when you are swinging them cos you are using a lateral raise movement.

I don’t really use kettle bells though and although I do see how they could help with my wrists, so too do other exercises that I currently do though. So that’s why I would like to focus on exercises that are specifically for my wrists.
